Confidence: Keep Trusting God
This is Part 4 of the Confidence Series. It explores how believers can be confident in God's Promises. It is not uncommon for those we trust or hold with high regard to fail us. Even so when it comes to their word. But followers of Christ know that they need not worry about such things. Having understood that we have a boldness to proclaim the Gospel, an assurance that Christ's Work on the cross was effectual and met its intended end, and that no matter how the world changes, we can stand on the sure Word of God revealed in His Scriptures, we will see how believers can trust ultimately in God's Word and rest in His promises. The Gospel is true, Christ's work was effectual, and the Bible is true leads us to understand that God Himself is truth and this brings us to love Him more, desire Him more, and to live with confidence for His glory.
Intro
Body
This saying is trustworthy:
For if we have died with Him,
we will also live with Him;
12 if we endure, we will also reign with Him;
if we deny Him, He will also deny us;
13 if we are faithless, He remains faithful,
for He cannot deny Himself.
Conclusion
31 Jesus responded to them, “Do you now believe? 32 Look: An hour is coming, and has come, when each of you will be scattered to his own home, and you will leave Me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.”
