This past Wednesday, does anyone remember what we talked about?

Right…we talked about sin, and how it begins with:

Doubt

Idolatry

Ends with rebellion against God and all that He created and commanded

So sin…it starts in the heart and then seeps out into our actions and our behaviors

Water Basement

And I hope your confidence is firmly placed in Jesus for your salvation…because nothing else will work!

Your heart of stone needed to be replaced with a heart of flesh

Sin Rages On

But let me ask you....does that mean that we are now totally free from sin?

No absolutely not! In fact....many of you are probably struggling with sin of some type in your life right now!

I am....sin is nasty

And yes, while believers now have the ability to break free from sin…the struggle is all too real isn’t it?

And that’s because you are in an absolute battle....and you are called to fight against sin in your life…that’s what God expects

See....the truth is…while your sins have been forgiven....the struggle continues

And you are in an absolute battle....and you are called to fight against sin in your life…that’s what God expects

And what we try to do sometimes is to go it alone, don’t we?

But can I let you in on a little secret....you can’t defeat it on your own....we were designed to be relational remember?

And one of those reasons is to have accountability and community with each other....to help each other

“ 9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!....12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

In a minute you are going to split into your small groups.....and my prayer has been and will be that you guys will learn to love these groups.

You’re going to be led by your leaders…but these groups will only be what you guys allow and let them be!

My hope is that you will come to cherish your time together…that you will come to understand that a threefold cord is not quickly broken…that you have partners to walk this life together with.....
