Jesus the Bread of life

I. The Bread of life

I am that bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

A. Jesus was telling them he was the bread of life , the bread they seek is only physical and not spritual for God sent his son to be the Spiritual bread of life . Jesus was telling them the manna that they received in the wilderness did not help them spritually , only physical , because it was physical it was temporary .

II. Living Manna( Bread) Jesus

A. 50 This is the bread awhich cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and bnot die. 51 I am cthe living bread dwhich came down from heaven: eif any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: andfthe bread that I will give is my flesh, which gI will give for the life of the world. here we see jesus trying to explain for the second time what Jesus said earlier in the chapter. He was sent from Heaven from God to be a source of new life. he says it again .

B. This is my body which was broken for you. Do this in remeberance of me. whay would he continually talk about bread. It was a picture of the cross and what Jeus was about to do. He was about to have his body piunished and tormented for our sakes.
