One Baptism

When people think baptism most people think water baptism. But that is not always the case. There are other types of baptism. The word baptism itself can mean a wide variety of things not limited to dip. immerse, submerge, to overwhelm and even saturate. Baptism itself depends depends on its reference.

We can be baptized into just about anything. We can be baptized into a belief, profession or even observance of something. (Baptized as a Christian)We can be baptized with water for repentance, remission of sin & and to purify ones conscience. We can be baptized in preparation of the coming of the Lord.

One thing is for sure in the old testament “ritual washing () finds its fulfillment in Christian immersion (). Likewise, is careful that Christian immersion not be merely confused with ritual washing”1 Baptism should not be understood as a legalistic thing
