Observations & Questions
Jesus sends out his disciples to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick ; yet, he does not tell them where to go nor allow them to take anything with them. He simply instructs them and equips them with gifts. They are not to decide which towns to enter, only to discern which towns to how to leave the towns, based on Jesus’ instructions.
We must learn to be disciples that get dusty b
Why did Jesus specifically tell them not to bring a staff, bag, bread, money, or extra tunic? What do they represent and what is their meaning to the message?
