John 1

John 1:1–4 ESV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

Genesis 2:5–7 ESV

When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up—for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground, and a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground— then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

Jesus possesses all authority, everything that is came to be by him. As the creator, he possesses power over life and death. We know he cares about us, he crafted man in his image in Genesis. He came as a man to minister to us. Are you broken, do you hurt, are you just rebellious? Jesus has come down to us, he has proven his authority. As John wrote, he is the Christ, the son of God, and if we believe in Christ Jesus, we can have life.
