Walk like Enoch
Notes
Transcript
Take action that will change your life. Focus on these seven truths for the next seven days and expect God to work
powerfully in you and through you. This week’s focus: how to walk with God.
Day 1: Remember, its your faith in Jesus that makes you a part of God’s family forever.
For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26 (NLT)
Day 2: Rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to show what to do, how to pray, and enable you to walk by faith.
Whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I
am going to the Father. John 14:12 (NLT)
And now I send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills
you with power from heaven. Luke 24:49 (NLT)
Day 3: Walking with God requires us to to learn how to think like Jesus. Improving our life begins by improving
our mindset.
Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on the nature, created to be like God — truly righteous and holy.
Ephesians 4:23 (NLT)
Day 4: Your environment can help or hurt your growth. A bad environment makes it hard to grow good fruit.
Getting out of a bad environment (away from bad influences) will improver your life. God is waiting for you to
return home. He loves you so much!
About this time his money ran out, and a great famine swept over the land, and he began to starve. He persuaded a local
farmer to hire him, and the man sent him into his fields to feed the pigs. The young man became so hungry that even the
pods he was feeding the pigs looked good to him. But no one gave him anything. When he finally came to his senses, he
said to himself, “At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger! I will go
home to my father and say, “Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being
called you son. Please take me on as a hired servant.” So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long
way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.
Luke 15:14-20 (NLT)
Day 5: Pray more often. Set a time to do it everyday. Be humble, yet confidently ask God to provide for all your
needs, knowing that he will answer. Listen for his voice, and wait patiently him to act.
Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all
my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered in shame. The poor man called, and the Lord
heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he
delivers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:3-8 (NIV)
Day 6: Worship more, worry less. The more we worship God throughout in pray, reading Scripture, or listen to
worship songs…the more aware become that He is here close to us and He will help us get through the day.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my
tongue rejoices. Psalm 16:8-9 (NIV)
You make know to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.
Psalm 16:11 (NIV)
Day 7: Ask God you show you want needs to change in your daily routine. It might be more time meditating on
God’s Word or in Spirit-led prayer throughout the day. Or, he led led you to stop doing something and start
something new. Have the courage to do because there’s a blessing waiting for you at the other end.
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified
them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Galatians 5:24-25
