1 kings 18:
20 So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel. 21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.

20 So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel.
Have you ever been in a place where you could make up your mind?
Who has a problem with making up your mind on certain things?
Sometimes it’s just hard to make decisions, we would much rather someone just make the decisions for us, we are so undecided.
When it comes down to what we want to wear, we are undecided, when it comes to what we want to eat we are undecided, when it comes down to what we want to do with our lives, we are undecided, we are christians wanting somethings of this world, We are dating Shelly but we want Keke, we are married to Bobby but we want KB.
We are so undecided, that we don’t even have an identity, Because we identify ourselves with everyone else’s decisions.
Just think about it, how many people you don’t do because your bestie don’t do them.
We are so caught up in the lives of others and what they think we lose who we are.
A. You would think by now that the children of Israel would know whom to serve at this point.
1- they were the ones who God delivered from the hand of the Egyptians.
2- God took them from slaves to a mighty nation.
3- God himself gave them victories over their enemies, time and time again.
B. Yet they are undecided on who to follow...
How do we get to God’s chosen not knowing who they are?
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
jam 1:6-
1- Some where along the timeline someone starting doubting and started saying stuff like it don’t take all of that.
2- I don’t have to pray to God because that’s not the popular thing to do.
3- When they didn’t make God priority, Baal came in...
a. When you don’t make God priority, the world comes in...
22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
josh 24:15
21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.

The statement, “How long will you falter between two opinions?” was not a statement that he ask because of the situation at hand, it was a question that transcend through time, because he knew that the people didn’t just fall into idol worship overnight.
C. This was a group of people who always had a problem with keeping God as the center focus.
1-It always took a strong leader to restore respect and honor that was owed to God.
2-It takes a strong leader, who is concerned about your spiritual health and growing you in the admonition of Jesus Christ, it takes a strong leader who is going to stand up in the face of popularity and tell Baal to bow in the name of Jesus, it takes a strong leader who you can call on and knows how to wage warfare when something is attacking you.
*If you thought I was talking about me, your sadly mistaking… God is looking for some Joshua’s…

Defeat the Undecided Mindset
Defeat the Undecided Mindset
1-So you need to know who to serve.
2- You have to know who you are in Christ
3- We have to keep God as the center focus.
