Where there is no vision the people perish... ()
Everything we do to build the kingdom of God, should have a triple Vision.
INTRODUCTION:
It's hard enough to build one good vision and you want me to have a triple vision? What are you thinking Manuel!? I know I know.... But let me explain, please!
I had a light bulb moment one day. The Trinity, Three in One, is such an EPIC... EVERYTHING!
Their fellowship is perfect, their individual personalities are perfect, and their purpose for all of creation, is, well, perfect!
So, if their purpose for our lives is good, pleasing and perfect. Then, personally, whatever I put my hands to, needs to have them all in the mix. The whole Three in One.
says with no vision the people will perish. The word vision there also means, ‘revelation’, which also means, ‘prophetic vision’ In other words, a spoken word from the Creator of the universe.
It’s His Word that creates the vision for our lives. So, what are we going to do with that vision? And how are we going to do it? We need as much heavenly wisdom as possible from all three angles from this Living God who loves the flip out of us.
I hope you get inspired, equipped and ignited about the Three in One that lives in you and me. Because every aspect of our lives needs Them/Him.
We need to know as much of them individually and in their perfect unity. The Father of lights, who created all things and all things are in Him.
CHAPTER 1:
God the Father - A Father's heart
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God!”
()
God the Father has many names we find in the Bible and around the world. One of my favorites is the Father of lights, meaning Father of Creation (). Wait!? So, there is no mother nature? Oh no!
There is also a scripture in the Bible that says GOD thought of Us therefore we exist. Isn't that amazing that he spent time to think of Us therefore we exist! POOF! ()
And yet another scripture in the Bible says We are Gods Masterpiece created to make masterpieces with Him. ()
Do you see where I'm getting at? A Great Big God, the Creator of the Universe, a Father of fathers, created You and Me by just a thought, loves us enough to call us His very own children.
Now allow yourself to meditate on that revelation just for a minute.
Just like a body without a heart dies, a vision/revelation from God Himself, that does not ignite our heart to beat at the same temple as Heavenly Father's, will surely die!
Therefore, our hearts need to be lavished with His passion for all He created, all people, places and things.
So how can our hearts be aligned with His? I'm glad you asked...
CHAPTER 2:
'A Christ follower, I see, you are' -If Yoda from Star Wars was a Christian
In a Bible School, called Teen Challenge, we had a special guest speaker. She was a little old missionary lady. She was so old, she came in with a cane and helper, who helped her up the three-step stage.
Her message was a slap in the face. She told us that more than 80% of missionaries in the world are women. She asked where are all the men with a heart after God's heart?
Suddenly, in the middle of her message she pulled a 'Yoda'! Running from left to right, filled with the Spirit, proclaiming a passion over us to reach the lost and to man up and get right with God and His heart for the lost.
When she was done speaking, she needed help from her assistant, who gave her the cane and supported her down the three-step stage.
Everyone in that room cried to God that day, that our heart would beat for what His heart beats for! A Warrior Heart! To be a people after His heart, to have a father-like heart for everything our shadows roam over.
What does your heart beat for? What breaks your heart? Ask Heavenly Father to give you His heart beat. A heart that beats for restoration in lives and relationships.
CHAPTER 3:
I love to dance for the Lord.
Whether I am in my office, with my youth, Sunday morning service, or a big conference. It does not matter who is around me. When the worship music starts to play, I go into Native American dance mode! And I love it!
One conference our churches' worship team lead the evening event. Our pastor preached about the gifts of the Holy Spirit´ and then we had a time of worship and response.
This was a conference for church leaders throughout Europe. Many of these churches were big and doing awesome things in their community. But they knew they needed something more. That's why we were invited, to teach and show them about this person called the Holy Spirit.
We were in the middle of the first song and the worship leader invited me up to dance my dance on stage. I was so nervous, but I knew it was a God thing. So, I closed my eyes and started dancing to the drum beat.
After a while I opened my eyes and saw shadows of angels dancing in between everyone in the room. So, I closed my eyes again and opened them up again later. This time I saw all the church leaders, in the front row down on their knees crying out to their Heavenly Father for more. More of His Spirit.
Remember this church, the Spirit only does and says what the Heavenly Father does and says. Out of the heart the mind thinks, out of the mind the body does.
Let your heart be aligned with Father's heart and see your vision for your life, family, business, ministry, neighbor, come to life and produce eternal value.
The following message is about having a Warrior’s heart that brings breakthrough in all we do for and with our Heavenly Father. Read the story of David and Goliath, and see how a man after God’s heart, fights the good fight against the enemy of God’s children.
The Father’s Heart in us will give us a 'Warrior Heart'
A man after God's heart - is a warrior heart filled with (candy and ice cream - just kidding!)
- ... I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, who will do all my will.
David and Goliath - (read from verse 20-25)
A Warrior heart:
· Is not afraid to fight the good fight - 22,23
- I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
· Knows it's a spiritual battle - 26 (defilement and reproach)
· Will be opposed by some - 28
· Needs no audience - 34 -36
· Creates hope in others for God - 37
But the enemy will react -
· Trying to bring fear - 41 ()
· Pride puffs up its feathers - Anger begins to rage - 43, 44
A Warrior heart:
· Knows where to get help - 45
· Depends on God's Word - 46,47
· Puts God's Word into action - 48, 49
The consequences of a warrior heart - BREAKTHROUGH!
· You have victory over your enemies - 50,51
· You bring unity to the body - 52
· Blessings - 53
· Brotherhood - 18:1-5
We need to know as much of them individually and in their perfect unity. The Jesus who restored all things by paying the ultimate price, giving us a renewed life and a life to the fullest.
CHAPTER 4:
God the Son - Relational
I have never called you ‘servants,’ because a master doesn’t confide in his servants, and servants don’t always understand what the master is doing. But I call you my most intimate friends, for I reveal to you everything that I’ve heard from my Father.
()
WOW! I get to write about Jesus now. How do start and where do you end? I love what John says at the end of his gospel…
And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.
()
But, seriously, if Jesus is the fullness of Heavenly Father, He did a great job proving it while He was here on earth.
He showed us what wisdom looks like, because He is wisdom (). Read and to see Jesus living out His role as Mr. Wisdom.
He woke up everyday enjoying the good, pleasing and perfect purpose for His life, by only doing what He saw the Father doing.
He showed us how to display grace (The women caught in adultery), peace (sleeping in the storm), forgiveness (on the cross), loving relationships (restoring Peter). He challenged them at that time and us now, with transformational teaching.
What’s your favorite teaching or miracle that Jesus told or did while here on earth? Has that teaching or miracle transformed your way of living? Has it drawn you into a more intimate relationship with Him?
CHAPTER 5:
My story
My life journey can be defined as a life restored. Just like Peter, I denied Jesus, even though I knew he existed and had walked with Him. I remember Him speaking to me one night, audible!
At that time, I had been struggling with a drug addiction. I was selling drugs and dealing with very scary people. My apartment was like a grand central station, traffic coming in and out constantly.
This one night, for some reason, was the quietest it had been in a long while. While I was cleaning my place, I heard a voice. The voice said, “Come back to me!”. I thought somebody was in my house. But I pretend to not hear it and kept on cleaning. 10 minutes later, the voice came back saying, “Come back to me!”. This time I knew it was God and responded by yelling at Him, “I’m not ready to come back to you!”.
There was a sudden, uncomfortable silence. I was so worried that I scared Him away. That I had lost Him forever. But within the next couple weeks, He showed back up and I surrendered my life to Him. I have been restored and following His lead ever since.
His story
The story that really drew me closer to Jesus, was when He restored Peter after he had denied Jesus 3 times. Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him. And Peter responded 3 times that he did. What really stuck out to me was when Jesus used the word love, He was talking about an AGAPE love, an unconditional love. When Peter responded with the word love, he used a PHILO love, a brotherly love.
Now this is my own application of the story. But I felt like Peter did not feel worthy to say he had un AGAPE love for Jesus. After all, he had just denied Jesus 3 times. But this did not bother Jesus, because the last time Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him, he switched to asking if Peter could love Him with a brotherly love.
Jesus values our relationship so much that He will meet us right where we are, and then journey with us love to love, glory to glory.
CHAPTER 6:
I believe knowing how much Jesus values relationships, has helped me value other challenges He gives us to help restore relationship in general. Jesus whole vision and purpose while on earth was to restore humanity back to their Creator.
tells us of this awesome ministry called ‘The ministry of reconciliation’. This ministry restores us first to Heavenly Father and after to each other. His vision for relationships, should be ours.
Here’s the thing. We must learn to love others as He has loved us. Now check this out, Jesus said that there is no greater love than to lay one’s life down for his friend. Really? Wouldn’t our love be more powerful if we laid down our lives for our enemies? That would be harder to do than for a friend.
But says, “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”. Even though Jesus was our enemy, He never considered us His enemy. He has always considered us His friends. That’s why the greatest love is to die for a friend.
When we transform our thinking of others into the way Jesus thinks of us and them, we will be able to love others the way Jesus loves us. And he loves us with an AGAPE love, un unconditional love.
If Jesus envisioned and believed that relationships could be restored back to perfection, then surely, we can make it a daily habit to transform the way with think about relationships.
It was the joy set before Him that He endured the cross. He did that for us, His friends!
The following is a message I gave that will encourage you to enjoy the Love Jesus has for you. Let that same love overflow into every relationship you are blessed to have: ‘First Love – It is Finished!’
I have been ministering in Scandinavia for over 10 years now... What has kept me going all this time?
Revelations 2:2-5 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works,
In , the word first means “foremost (in time, place, order or importance),” and the word works is defined as “toil (as an effort or occupation).” In other words, if you find that you have left your first love for the Lord, get your priorities back in order and do the most important things.
What do you live for? For your friends, your family, your future? What about living for the love of Jesus who first loved us! Do you love Jesus? Do the works He has for you
· We are not just saved but called
He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,
- By this gospel you are saved
For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to us was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
I have finished the work…
‘I have finished the work.’ Not, ‘I started it’; not, ‘I thought about it’; not ‘I was going to get to it.’ I’m sure glad that after Noah finished the frame on the ark, he didn’t say, ‘Close enough. We don’t need a roof.’ No, he finished the work. He completed the task. If he hadn’t, we would all be sunk.
What about you? If you knew you only had a few hours to live, could you say, ‘Father, I finished the work You gave me to do’? Or would you say, ‘I know You put this on my heart last year, and I meant to get to it, but...’?
What has God called you to do? What has He spoken to your heart about? Maybe it’s some sin, or something that’s got to go, and you think, ‘Well, I’ve got it pretty much taken care of. I know the Lord’s told me not to do this, but I’ve cut way back.’
‘Have you finished it?’
‘No, but I’ve got it under control.’
Watch out for settling for unfinished!
‘IT IS FINISHED,’ cried Jesus from the Cross. I’m so glad He didn’t say, ‘I almost did it, but I’m going to come down now’—because if He had come down from the Cross, we would go down too, deep down into our sinful life that leads to eternal separation from our Creator. He paid the price. He finished the work.
Wherever Heavenly Father sends me and my family, I want to be able to say to Him, it is finished! The only way to do this is to remember my first love, Jesus Christ. I love Him because He first loved me.
We need to know as much of them individually and in their perfect unity. The Holy Spirit, with His resurrection power, who lives in us and unifies us not only with Him but with His good, pleasing and perfect purpose!
CHAPTER 7:
God the Spirit - Powerful and Comforting
For God will never give you the spirit of fear, but the Holy Spirit who gives you mighty power, love, and self-control. ()
What’s Holy Spirits vision in all this? He does and says only what the Father is saying and doing. He is the Father’s Spirit. So, what is His role in all this?
From His first appearance in the Bible, Holy Spirit has been bringing chaos into order, and life where death thought it had control. Holy Spirit’s vision for us is that we would find purpose and value.
He brings life to these dry bones. He puts our chaotic life into order. He unites us to God and His kingdom. He qualifies us to be Christ-like. And he empowers us to bring heaven on earth.
You know that saying, ‘When in Rome do what the Romans are doing’. Well, even more, when in the Spirit, do what the Spirit is doing. If we really want to know and experience Holy Spirit’s vision for our life, then we need to dive into the deep end of the deepest part of the ocean. Allowing His current to push us onto a wave that will crash over any obstacles in our way of what God has in store for us.
When most people or companies have a vision, they will do whatever it takes to accomplish. This can be good but also bad whenever you must step over people or push them out of the way to get what you want.
Not so with the Holy Spirit. His vision for your life will be characterized by Him comforting, edifying, and equipping you. The result will only be accomplished by a successful and personal journey.
CHAPTER 8:
Holy Spirit values you and puts value in you. If you want to know the character of Jesus, go to passage that talks about the fruit of the Spirit. All these values are in you like they were in Jesus. Jesus was born of the Spirit and so are we. When we ask Jesus to come and be our Lord and Savior, His Spirit makes residence in us. Everything that the Holy Spirit is and does is in us.
Have you ever said hi to another Christian and they gave you a look like they just ate a lemon? Where you thinking where is the joy of the Lord in their life? It’s there, I promise you. They just don’t what they have living inside them. We have all the fruits of the Spirit in us. Just tap into that well of abundance and see what burst out.
Take love for example. Do you know the Love of God? Have you not only received it but are you enjoying it too? How can we love others the way Jesus loves us if we are not enjoying the love of Jesus daily? It’s in us, just tap into it.
What about patience? God is love and one quality of love is patience. When you look at the root word of patience, you find that it means long-suffering. When you look at the root word for suffering, you find it means passionate. So Heavenly Father’s patience for you has been long passionate. We have that same patience in us.
Allow yourself to experience and enjoy every fruit of the Spirit. Find out what the Word of God says about that specific fruit and make it a value for your life. The more you use it the more you will see how it can help you on your journey with Holy Spirit.
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Which one do you need to focus on today. Ask Holy Spirit to create an opportunity for that specific fruit to grow in your life.
CHAPTER 9:
What’s our purpose in life?!?! Where do we fit in with Holy Spirit’s vision for the body of Christ, the church, us?
Side note: If you want to know the ministry of Jesus, then go read what the Word of God says about the gifts of the Spirit. He did them all!
If the fruit of the Spirit give you value, then the gifts of the Spirit will give you purpose. We all have our certain talent, but the gifts are for everyone. The Word of God says that we should take hold of every spiritual blessing. When we read about the gifts of the Spirit, it says there are different gifts from the same Spirit, that lives in us. But it is your choice how many gifts you want to open. Just remember, your name is written on all of them.
We are called to minister or serve God. We are also called to minister or serve people. We are called to love God with our everything. We are also called to love others with our everything. The same encounters, blessings, revelations, we have in the presence of God, we can have when ministering to others. How? By taking His presence with us, His presence is the Holy Spirit in us.
The same God that heals lives in us through His Holy Spirit. So, wherever we go, we bring a God that can heal. The same God that speaks to us, lives in us. So, wherever we go, we bring a God that speaks and can speak through us to others.
If God created everything through His Word, and we are created in His image. Guess what we can do? We can create too. In His power, through His Word, we can create life in our surroundings. If someone you know feels worthless, you can create worth in their life. If someone you know feels like dying, you can create life into them. How? Through the Word of God that is in you and has been inspired by the Holy Spirit, who is also in you.
Our purpose in life is to be the be the gateway to Heaven’s Ways. Heaven’s Ways are God’s Ways. God is Spirit. The only way people will be able to see the fullness of God is through the supernatural. So, when we open and use the gifts of the Spirit, we are exposing our surroundings to every spiritual blessing.
Then, like what happened to us, people of our surroundings, get a revelation of their purpose and value they have in the eyes of their Creator.
What are you waiting for? Get to know the Spirit in you. Find your value in Him and fulfill your purpose with Him. Then we will enjoy a ‘Great Awakening’ that can never slumber!
The following message will help you understand that you can be the living water that brings life to a dying world. The living water in us is the Holy Spirit that gives us purpose and value.
‘Please Give me a Drink’
PLEASE GIVE ME A DRINK
When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”
I gave a teaching on Holiness. This word can mean. to be set apart, perfection, and to be clean
I want to focus on the ‘to be clean’ part. The O.T. talks about people, places and things that can be clean or unclean in the sight of our God
People can be unclean by skin diseases, fluids - such as blood, and death
Places and things are also clean and unclean, such as the temple of God and things used in them.
Along comes Jesus who turns everything upside down
Jesus’ contact with the leper (), the bleeding woman (), the dead boy () should have made him “unclean,” but instead his holiness and purity transfers to them, healing and restoring their bodies.
Jesus is the perfect definition and expression of holiness - He is the Way, the Truth and the Life - He is the living Water - Please give me a drink!
Listen to what Jesus says here -
() On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)
Jesus used the image of Ezekiel’s temple-river to describe any person who trusts in him: The Spirit will make that person a holy source of God’s own life that spreads to others.
We can be that same living water!
Let’s go to the book of Ezekiel -
() In my vision, the man brought me back to the entrance of the Temple. There I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the Temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side.
() When I returned, I was surprised by the sight of many trees growing on both sides of the river. Then he said to me, “This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea. The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure.
There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows.
Fishermen will stand along the shores of the Dead Sea. All the way from En-gedi to En-eglaim, the shores will be covered with nets drying in the sun. Fish of every kind will fill the Dead Sea, just as they fill the Mediterranean.
But the marshes and swamps will not be purified; they will still be salty.
Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.”
We need to know who we are in Christ and what we are capable of doing.
We can show people the Way
() So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.
We can tell people of the Truth
() But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”
We can help people receive eternal life
() You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.
We need to know that we are never in a dry season in Christ
() Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.”
() Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
() Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.
No matter the season, we will always produce fruit that brings healing to everyone around us, if we are rooted in Jesus, the living water
Are we sharing this living water?
How do we treat our enemies (those against our belief system, faith, lifestyle)?
() “But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
Jesus has no enemies, and neither should we
() There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Holy Spirit Move!
CONCLUSION:
Their fellowship, unity, vision for humanity, is perfect, because their identity is perfectly expressed, separately and in perfect Harmony as One.
The challenge is to know them individually as much as we know them as One. I will tell you my secret in doing this. I will spend a day or week talking and getting to know just One of them. Sometimes I will just chat with Holy Spirit and thank Him for all that He is doing to transform my character into being more Christ-like.
Other times I will be overwhelmed by Heavenly Father and the plans He has for me. I thank Him for thinking of me, therefore I exist.
Then there is time with Jesus. My Jesus and I are tight! He is my best friend, my brother, my Savior! I thoroughly enjoy knowing that. And I let Him that I enjoy being in family with Him.
We are created in His image. We are the body of Christ. We are the holy of holies, where the Holy Spirit dwells.
Everything we do for them, should have them in it. Otherwise whatever we do will be incomplete. But with all Three in the mix, we find completion, purpose, value. His vision is our vision.
A Triple vision - A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. ()
