Jesus – the True High Priest Hebrews 7:26-29 For it was indeed fing that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.27 He has no need, like those high priests, to ofer sacrifces daily, frst for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he ofered up himself. 28 For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever. 26 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creaton. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliaton; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not countng their trespasses against them, and entrustng to us the message of reconciliaton. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2 Cor. 5:20 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.
