Here is our Savior, seeking and saving this lost woman. Winning her to Himself!
He hits the mark He aims at and hits the bulls-eye!
In just one conversation, a brief talk and this woman receives the living word!
As we pray today, we’re going to be asking God to quicken others by Jesus Christ, the Life-giver!
For some, as we go through these words, some should be praying to God,
“O Lord, let this be the effectual time of speaking to me! Save me Lord! Call me as you did this Samaritan woman.”
This woman asks in v11, “So where do you get this ‘living water’?”
This phrase “living water” has to do with water that springs up from a fountain, but Jacobs well isn’t like that kind.
It was surface water that would gather from the neighboring hills, land water, not spring water.
Jesus Christ seemed to draw his illustration from that fact:
“The water in that well runs into it, and is drawn out from it;
but if you had asked me, I would have given you water that bubbles up,—
water that is full of life,
very different from this well-water,—
water from the great deep that tunnels beneath.”
So Jesus Christ had used this illustration in speaking with the woman:
“You have come here, to draw this water out of the well,—
the mere rain water that runs into Jacob’s well;
but if you had asked of me, I would have given you water of a far better sort,
water with life in it,—water which would be life unto you,—water which would be in you a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
water with life in it,—
water which would be life unto you,—
water which would be in you a well of water
springing up into everlasting life.”
Here’s the meaning of the text: Jesus Christ has grace in Himself, grace to give to sinners, grace to give those who ask for it.
"For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,” ()
"for the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” ()
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ: Though he was rich, for your sake he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich.” ()
"With great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was on all of them.” ()
"On the contrary, we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus in the same way they are.”” ()
"He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” ()
PRAY that Cornerstone Baptist Church would know that there isn’t just a meager supply of grace in Christ.
PRAY that their church would have it revealed to them that Christ is a spring that’s forever springing up within Himself.
PRAY that they would know that He gives it all away for the asking, ALMIGHTY grace is to be had for the asking!
In a nutshell from v10 (at the end) “you would ask Him, and He would give you living water.”
Which is the same with God’s wisdom: If any church lacks wisdom they “... should ask God—who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly—and it will be given to him.”

pardon for sin
holiness
holiness etc.
All these are stored up in Christ and can be had from Him for the asking.
"He did not even spare his own Son but offered him up for us all. How will he not also with him GRANT US EVERYTHING?” ()
[My CAPS. Notice that God grants “everything” “with Him”!]
Here’s her question: "...So where do you get this ‘living water’?” ()
He’s able to get this water because of His very nature.
He’s able to save because He is divine. "...With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”” ()
Christ has this living water by the divine purpose and appointment on His life.
It was the divine plan that Jesus Christ, the second Person of the blessed Trinity in Unity, should be appointed to be the treasury of grace for all those chosen in Him.
Christ has this living water because His redeeming work is finished.
Oh how the living water finds a channel in which it can flow down to them in the person of the incarnate God,—“Immanuel, God with us”
Christ has this living water as the reward which His Father promised to Him for His work as Mediator.
"After his anguish, he will see light and be satisfied. By his knowledge, my righteous servant will justify many, and he will carry their iniquities. "Therefore I will give him the many as a portion, and he will receive the mighty as spoil, because he willingly submitted to death, and was counted among the rebels; yet he bore the sin of many and interceded for the rebels.” ()
God’s only-begotten and well-beloved Son is to receive a full reward for all that He endured!
Christ has lived, and loved, and bled, and died, and now there is a reward due to him which can only be met by the salvation of all for whom he died.
When we’re called to serve or to suffer we take an inventory of our strength.
And if we’re honest we discover that is less than we thought and less than we need.
TRUST IN HIS PROMISE.
PRAY that their hearts will not sink but rather that they’d fall upon the promises of God. PRAY that they’d have confidence in the promises of God, that they guarantee them all that they’ll possibly need.
PRAY that the God of all power () will strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might so that they may:
Have great endurance
great patience,
Great patience
being thankful
Being thankful
PRAY for those that are in trials to marvel and worship the Lord for they strength that He provides!
Those in danger (losing jobs, facing marital separation etc.) to rejoice as they rest in God’s plan.
Those grieving to rejoice and be passive and obedient to God.
Those being slandered to entrust themselves to God and wait upon Him.
For the sick and afflicted to be patient and not complain to the Lord.
God gives unexpected strength when unusual trial come upon us as He enables us to rise out of our weak selves.
Those with “fears within” still fight “conflicts on the outside” ().
By His call, He takes those that are fools, He makes wise ().
Those that are silent in their witness for Christ and don’t know what to say, to trust in the Lord and “don’t worry about how or what you are to speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour, because it isn’t you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father is speaking through you.” ().
20 because it isn’t you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father is speaking through you.”
Our own weaknesses make us to shrink back but God’s promise gives us courage and makes us brave!
Lord we are weary and our lives are lied down in the dust, we pray for give us life and strength “through Your Word.” (,).
“I will help you...” ()
