"... I will strengthen you” ()
When we’re called to serve or to suffer we take an inventory of our strength.
And if we’re honest we discover that is less than we thought and less than we need.
TRUST IN HIS PROMISE.
PRAY that their hearts will not sink but rather that they’d fall upon the promises of God. PRAY that they’d have confidence in the promises of God, that they guarantee them all that they’ll possibly need.
PRAY that the God of all power () will strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might so that they may:
Have great endurance
Great patience
Great patience
Being thankful
Being thankful
PRAY for those that are in trials to marvel and worship the Lord for they strength that He provides!
Those in danger (losing jobs, facing marital separation etc.) to rejoice as they rest in God’s plan.
Those grieving to rejoice and be passive and obedient to God.
Those being slandered to entrust themselves to God and wait upon Him.
For the sick and afflicted to be patient and not complain to the Lord.
God gives unexpected strength when unusual trial come upon us as He enables us to rise out of our weak selves.
Those with “fears within” still fight “conflicts on the outside” ().
By His call, He takes those that are fools, He makes wise ().
Those that are silent in their witness for Christ and don’t know what to say, to trust in the Lord and “don’t worry about how or what you are to speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour, because it isn’t you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father is speaking through you.” ().
Our own weaknesses make us to shrink back but God’s promise gives us courage and makes us brave!
Lord we are weary and our lives are lied down in the dust, we pray for give us life and strength “through Your Word.” (,).
“I will help you...” ()
We have the promise of strength for what we have to do and now God promises us help where we cannot act alone.
Let’s REJOICE that God supplements the strength He supplies with-in (in the inner-man) with help without.
“I will help you...” ( )
PRAY that with Him at our side, that He will raise us up allies in our common warfare as it seems good to Him. For He is able to!
Let us REJOICE that when ‘God is for us’ () He bears all the burden, and supplies all the need and is better than legions of all the mortal helpers.
PRAISE:
His help is timely. He is “a helper who is always found in times of trouble.” ().
His help is utterly wise. He encourages us to come boldly to the throne of grace “so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.” and we are exhorted to only let that which is “good for building up someone in need.” (; ).
His help is effectual, that it accomplishes that which He desires, even though the human help is worthless. "Give us aid against the foe, for human help is worthless. "With God we will perform valiantly; he will trample our foes.” ()
"Give us aid against the foe, for human help is worthless. "With God we will perform valiantly; he will trample our foes.” ()
Again, His help is more than help. He bears all the burden, and supplies all the need.
"Therefore, we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” ()
Here’s our prayer: "Lord, listen and be gracious to me; Lord, be my helper.”” ()
Our experience is: "In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should...” ()
Our expectation is:"I lift my eyes toward the mountains. Where will my help come from?” ()
And out song shall soon be:"Show me a sign of your goodness; my enemies will see and be put to shame because you, Lord, have helped and comforted me.” ()
