The Christian’s Relation to the Will of God
After one has received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour, he should be concerned about doing the will of God. Let us consider “The Christian’s Relation to the Will of God.”

I. Three things may cause a Christian not to be in God’s will.

A. Failure to remember God’s power; .

B. Failure to remember one’s personal weakness; ; .

C. Failure to remember God’s willingness; .

II. Three things the Christian may experience when he submits to God’s will.

A. Unpleasantness; ; ; .

B. Poverty; (riches of the sort the world knows).

C. Unpopularity; , ; .

III. Three things the Christian possesses who is in God’s will.

A. Peace in his heart; .

B. Usefulness toward God; ; .

C. Rewards; ; ; .

IV. Three things the Christian should remember about God’s will.

A. It is never foolish. God never asks a person to do anything that is foolish, although the world may think it is; , .

B. It is never selfish. When the cross is in your life the “I” is left out; , ; .

C. It is never impossible. God even makes it possible to resist temptations to disobey His will; .

V. Three things may help the Christian know God’s will.

A. A proper evaluation of the world; .

B. Submissiveness to the Lord; .

C. Obedience to the leadership of the Holy Spirit; .
