15 He is (Jesus is eternal)

the image of the invisible God,

the firstborn of all creation.

by him all things were created, (As the eternal king, all things

in heaven and on earth, are subjected to Him.)

visible and invisible,

whether

thrones

or

dominions

or

rulers or authorities—

all things were created through him and for him.

17 And

he is

before all things,

and

in him

all things hold together.
