Theme - Jesus Calms the Storm - Victory over our Circumstances - What Jesus has said will come to pass.
Jesus Casts out a Demon - Victory over darkness - There is no one to far gone that Jesus cannot reach.
Jesus Heals a woman with a Medical Disease - There is no such thing as utter despair when Jesus enters the equation.
Jesus Brings back a dead child -
All these stories share a common Theme...
A picture of utter hopelessness & A picture of victory.
I think that’s why these stories & (this book) is so powerful, because we can relate.
Crushed by circumstances and Lost focus on Jesus
We’ve seen the affects of evil in society
We have experienced let downs, hang ups, & frustrations.
Mark 5:24–34 NKJV
24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him. 25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” 31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” 32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
Do you know what I see in this story? A woman who has lost hope… Tried everything… Surrendered to the fact that this is life as normal
A woman plagued by despair...
Despair- the complete loss or absence of hope.

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:18 NKJV
18 But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed: “Their sound has gone out to all the earth, And their words to the ends of the world.”
