Overview of January Messages: Sunday Mornings:

Series Title:  Inspired!

Jan 7—“Inspired to Follow!” (2 Cor 8:1-9)

            Theme:  We should be inspired to follow the examples of great churches/Christians who have given sacrificially, not to mention following the example of the Lord Jesus (v 9)

Jan 14—“Inspired to Help!”  (2 Cor 8:13-15)

            Theme: Just as the Corinthian Church could see that the Jewish Believers needed their help, we should be inspired to know that we are in a position to help accomplish a great dream through our faithful giving.

Jan 21—“LifeFest”

Jan 28—“Inspired to Experience!”  (2 Cor 9:6-15)  (Tithe Commitment Sunday)

            Theme: We should give to God cheerfully because one of the best ways to experience God working in our lives is through giving.

(At the close of the sermon, people are urged to fill out a tithe commitment card and to place it on the steps of the altar)

Feb 4—New Sermon Series—Prove the Tithe Sunday—Everyone is asked to bring a tithe of at least one week’s income.  Not a lot is said about it during the service.  The majority of the emphasis and work is done in January.
