Army of the Lord

A pastor said: “You need to join the Army of the Lord!” My friend replied, “I'm already in the Army of the Lord, Pastor.” Pastor questioned, “How come I don't see you except at Christmas and Easter?” He whispered back, “I'm in the secret service.”

What if we are Wrong?

There was a time in history when there was 400 years of silence in the Bible. During that time the Pharisees and Sadducees began to rise up in authority.
They were strict followers of the Law of God, but they were also people who add oral laws to what the original laws were.
After many generations of adding to the laws there such a focus on there way the totally missed it when the Messiah came.
Personal Opinion-Everything in the laws of the Old Testament was a constant reminder of the Messiah that was going to come. So when they focused so much on the law rather than the purpose of the law they missed Jesus.
What if we are wrong today?

How do we stay in the right direction?

Matthew 7:13–23 NLT
“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’
Matthew 7:13-
The words that Jesus just spoke are some tough words, some of the toughest words that he spoke.
This reminds me of the man who wanted to follow Jesus, but was unwilling to pay the price.
Go through the gate that not many are willing to go through.
Remember hell is a real place, and it is a place for eternity.

Find the Truth

Jesus said that there will be MANY false Prophets. People who claim to be prophetic, but are deceivers.
We have to be careful that we don’t judge a message by how it makes us feel, but by the truth backed in scripture.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be one of the people who thinks everything is ok and on judgement day I find out I am wrong.
To be honest I am concerned for many people who think they are living right enough, but they are deceived.
Luke 6:46–49 NLT
“So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say? I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house right on the ground, without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.”
Luke 6:46-
The bible word Adonai means Lord.
If we are going to be seeks of truth, people who are going through the narrow gate, then Jesus must be Adonai.

Make Jesus Lord

Luke 22:41–42 NLT
He walked away, about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
Luke 22:41 NLT
He walked away, about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed,
1 Corinthians 11:27–32 NLT
So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup. For if you eat the bread or drink the cup without honoring the body of Christ, you are eating and drinking God’s judgment upon yourself. That is why many of you are weak and sick and some have even died. But if we would examine ourselves, we would not be judged by God in this way. Yet when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world.
I Corinthians 11:27-
1 Corinthians 11:23–26 NLT
For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord himself. On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.” For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.
