Everything ties together with the sovereignty of God. We have an inheritance in Him because we have been predestined according to the purpose of His will.

When you see the main identifying point in your life not as your accomplishments or mistakes but you see who you are as someone who’s life is about bringing glory to God
Inheritance
Inheritance
Families are divided, relationships are crushed, people are hurt when it comes to deciding who gets earthly inheritance.
Our inheritance is a heavenly one.

Our heavenly inheritance isn’t one that we work for

Sold all that he had to get the treasure
This isn’t a gamble as we would associate casting lots with. Casting lots was used to determine the will of God
You have obtained an inheritance by the will of God
We will give up everything for a earthly treasure…but what will we give up for a heavenly inheritance?
If we have a relationship with Jesus, we have obtained that heavenly inheritance.

This inheritance isn’t because of anything that we have done. It’s because we have been chosen In Christ.

Why is it necessary to be called by God?
Before God we were saved

In our sinful state there is nothing in us that desires to go to God
We are a magnet and God is a chunk of metal. When we are facing him we are re-pulsed and there is nothing in us that wants to or can come to Him.
God tells us He will give us a new nature.
And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,
God takes and reverses our magnetic pole so now we can’t help but desire to come to God.
He can cause you to be born again. This is a miracle of grace, but the Holy Ghost will perform it. It would be a very wonderful thing if one could stand at the foot of the Niagara Falls, and could speak a word which should make the river Niagara begin to run up stream, and leap up that great precipice over which it now rolls in stupendous force. Nothing but the power of God could achieve that marvel; but that would be more than a fit parallel to what would take place if the course of your nature were altogether reversed. C.H. Spurgeon

Not consulting His creatures or conforming to their views, but by His own view of what is right and proper.
We are incapable of perceiving the reasons that God does what He does
It will be done in perfect goodness and wisdom because it is God who does it.

Pray that God will continue to change you from the inside out
Give thanks and praise to God for what He has done in your life
