THE COMING KING
THE COMING KING
If you have youyr Bibles be truning to Revelation chapter 5. Today I want you to see the coming King. As you are turning your bibles there.
I want you to know that everything is not as it seems.
OI remember about 14 years ago, I was an addict, recovering, but the spirit of addiction had a firm grip on me, life was in a mess, up until that point I had already had for or five charges for assault, two DUI’s, really no family that I could lean on for any financial help, lost my job, and all I wanted to do is to get custody of my baby boy who by the way turned seventeen a few weeks ago. I was in a mess, and I had this crazy desire in my heart that I wanted to get custody of my son. Of which, everyone around me was telling me that I had no shot.
The lawyer thought I had no shot, my family thought I had no shot. And by all means and logic I had no shot. But I started following this one named Jesus, didn’t know what to do or how to do it. He said follow me. He He took me through some dark times. He guarded me against some strong foes, and in the end He moved some mighty mountains. If you looked at my life now, you looked at my beautiful wife, my good looking son, and my plump body that is a stark contrast to the drawled up, bony body that I had from addiction, you would probably come to the conclusion that I have always had smooth sailing… But what you are seeing is the end to one of the darkest chapters of my life. If that portion of my life was put into a movie, what you see is the ending, when the hero gets the girl, and they ride happily into the sunset. But if you were to walk with me in those days just going into the storm, and saw me day after day, if you saw the dark depression, the chapters where my enemies were multiplied and stronger than I. If you saw the nights that I fell asleep in utter dispair, or the nights that I quietly- all alone cried myself to sleep, fearing what the next day may hold.... You, I promise would have come to the conclusion that all was lost… it was that bad. You would have thought, too many wrong decisions, not enough resources, not enough wisdom to crawl out of this one, You would have with reason reached the conclusion that all was lost....
But church all is not what it seems, you see because all would have been lost had it not been for one person and one person only!! His name Jesus
That is but a really small story in a much bigger story, and that is the story of this present time. It started with the begining of time, with a creation, a perfect creation. A king and a Queen over the Earth named Adam and Eve. They were given domnion over the earth and were told to rule and to reign, to Thrive, to be abundant, multiply. They were given dominion ofver the fullness of the earth, over every creeping thing, over every land and sea dwelling creature. The were walking statues, images of the Living god, who walked and indwelt them in full measure. But God has this crazy weakness called love. He desires his people to love Him and He in turn recipricvates that love. In actuality H eis the one that Loves first and gives us the choice to love him back, or to stiffen our necks and harden our heart and hate him. And in order to get what he ultimately is after our love, outr heart, He had to give us a free will. And in order for a free will to be truly free it had to be free to disobey his commands.
We all know the story, a serpent in the garden, Gods enemy, conned Adam and Eve out of their dominion of the Earth and Usurped their authority. And since that time darkness has ruled the earth, Sin abounds. We look at the news and we see the hatred that is in the hearts of men. We see murder and gruesome and abomnible acts. We see men and women in revolt and willful rebellion against God Almighty. We see men and women shaming their own bodies and giving in to the lusts of their hearts. We see tragedy after tradegedy. And we see a sea of humanity that is growing more and more volitile. A house right around the corner from me got shot up the other night. There are thieves everywhere that will steal your stuff. There are people that will hurt you and not ever humble themselves to say they are sorry. There are people that unbashidly support the gruesome slaughter of innocent babies, marriage s now perverted, and drugs will soon be legalized across the country that will indidate generations to come with a scewed view of right and wrong, decieving them to think that they can just make up their own truth as they go..... Marriages are being torn apart through adultery, kids are being raised in homes where they don’t know their father....
And let me tell you it is real, it is dark, and we are living in deceptive times.....
And it looks like nothing will change, that things are just going to go from bad to worst.... and its just like if you would have jumped in the middle of my story 14 years ago, you would be tempted to think theres no way..... But there is a Way, His name is Jesus, in fact He is the way, the Truth and the life.... You need to understand something, Jesus is coming back, and when He comes back, He will not come back as the lowly galilean carpenter, when He comes back it will be as sovereign king
This same sort of story played out in the life of Jesus… for three and a half years he taught,m and performed miracles,. and cast out demons and it seemed like it was just going to be one of those stories where he rides out into the sunset.... But there was a betrayal, one of His own disciples, a traitor by the name of Judas Iscariot, sold him out to the Jews that had the power to have him legally executed. That disciple led a badnd of soldiers to the location of Jesus, and with a kiss betrayed the Lord… And Jesus said this.....
English Standard Version Chapter 22
52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? 53 When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? 53 When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
Luke
You don’t believe in evil? You don’t believe in darkness… well Jesus did, and behind these flesh and blood traitors, Jesus saw every fould and unclean demonic sppirit that was controlling these men.... And Jesus said this is your hour, and the pwoer of darkness....
And the Bible tells us that we are living in the last hour, it is past time for fluffy preaching and care bear types of messages… This is the last hour, and as we found out that hour may last another 2,000 years or it might be in the next two seconds.... You seen Friday was dark, when they nailed the body of a beaten, humble and innocent carpernter, But listen everything was nnot as it appeared, Because Sunday was coming! And no devil in hell, or all the devils of hell were no match for the Son of God, the one that was prophecied of… In fact when Jesus stood before Pontius Pilate marveled that Jesus would not answer Him any quiestion. You see every other man would have said whatever he had too escape death
10 So Pilate said to him, “You will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to release you and authority to crucify you?” 11 Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.”
John 19:10-
When things don’t make sense, doesn’t mean things don’t make sense. It didn’t make sense for Jesus to go to the crtoss. His momma didn’t understand, his disciples didn’t understand, when His beaten body was nailed to the cross and everyone watched him die a sham, eful death they didn’t understand.... No one understood. Except God. You see they did not understand that this was the only way to defeat man’s greatest 3 enemies, Sin, Satan, and death, was that another take our sin, go into our death, adn pave a way to the other side for us. And when he died on the cross, he took all the legal demands of the Holy law and condemned sin in his innocent flesh and he disarmed
15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.
Here is the thing.... We are living in the last hour. T^hings are going to get really dark, times are going to get really hard… But when He paid the penalty of sin, when he conquered death, he stripped the enmie of the rulers and authorities… you say what rulers, what authorities, The devil and His comanders, His rulers, his authorities… Why because he rules this world, but When the King of another Kingdom invaded this Kingdom, He virtaully striupped Satan of his pwoer… The word disarm means to undress, or to strip, or it can mean the peeling of an animals skin… Thats the point that Jesus completely stripped Satan naked of His power over those that would come to believe in jesus
1 Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” 3 And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, 4 and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. 5 And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
6 And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. 8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying,
“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.”
11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice,
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
14 And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Revelation 5
But some of us need to be like the disciples and say Lord Help my unbelief!!
Jesus is Exclusively Worthy
Jesus is Exclusively Worthy
Now John is having a dream, or a vision, and there is an episode in heaven that the Lord allows John to see and He sees in the right hand of the one that sits on the throne a scroll.
Now what is this scroll?
It is the title deed of the Earth.... And a mighty angel cries out! Who is worthy to open the scroll and to beak the seals...
And John is crying, because the one that can break the seals is the one whom
THESE SEALS ARE PART OD THE TRIBULATION
Verse 3 no one was found worthy, not in heaven, that is even the angels are unworthy.... on earth, no man woman boy or girl were found, and under the earth… that is the dead, throughout all of human historyu was found worthy.... And in verse 4 John begans to weep violently, Becayuse no one was worthy. Now why was John crying, the tears came from deep within. These tears represented every single person going all the way back from Adam and eve when they buried theoir son after the other son killed him? These tears represent every person has suffered misfortune, From the first war until the final war. And John is saying is Satan just going to inhertit it all? you see Satan won the title deed when he overcame Adam..
In Luke chapter 4 when Jesus is tempted by Satan , Satan offers him all the glory and splendor of the world. Offered him every kingdom if he would just bow down and worship him. Jesus didn’t argue with him..@
Why because it was legally lost by Satan, and legally gained by the devil
Property Right sin Leviticus- If a man lost his property, God provided a way for the property to be restored- A Kinsman redeemer. One oftheir own kin would be able to purchase it back
1 And as they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them,
