SPEAK TO NEED
Come Alive, Worth IT, You are a Finisher What is most important to you is the place you will most want to be, and will end up being.
What?
Yet,many of us spend our time, talents, and treasure in areas that we don’t want; AM I RIGHT ABOUT IT? How many of you are excited about paying your electric bill, your phone bill, car payment, student loans?
It not our mission in life to be debt to BGE or Delmarva… But where we give should be where we want to see great things happen!
Hallelujah, God has a word for us today to help us resist the pull!
Tell someone near your resist the pull; resist the pull!
PLEASE STAND WITH ME FOR THE READING OF GOD’S HOLY WORD!
State Key Verse: Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! (2 Cor 9:15)
I like to preach this morning as the Holy Spirit guides from the thought...
State the Title: MAKING A DIFFERENCE! <Tells somebody you are making a difference!
MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
Prayer of Illumination: Father, send your Holy Spirit and fill us that our hearts are receptive to your word.
Help me to be faithful to your word, give me clarity needful for our journey, give me your power to preach with the authority you have given, and passion for your glory to be revealed, guide us by your wisdom, may I decrease and you INCREASE LORD JESUS and set all captives free, loosen every chain in Jesus name.
INTRODUCTION
My Grandmother sowing economically!
Reaping what you sow.
In similar ways Paul has been in labor...
Who: The Apostle Paul writes this letter to the church of Corinth (planted on second missionary journey) and sends it by Titus hand.
This is the 4th and final letter; 1 Cor was the second letter, the first letter as lost, the 3rd was the tearful letter possibly following his painful second visit.
What: A minority of the church of Corinth are still questioning Paul’s Apostleship; false apostles are now there in the church, Paul defends his apostleship of Jesus Christ because the Gospel and the spiritual life of the Corinthian Church is as stake.
When: He wrote this letter on his 3rd missionary journey.
Where: From Macedonia
Why: The Apostle Paul now acknowledges that the church of Corinth has been eager to give for some time.
They may not be perfect, but their hearts are generous.
So, he is sending people ahead of him so that the offering is ready when he comes.
He does not want them to be ashamed because they are not prepared, nor does he want to annoy them like a bill collector repeatedly asking for collections.
He realizes that poor planning often hurts people!
Also, that giving must be a deliberate action and deliberate decision not under compulsion or pressure, but born out of a cheerful heart.
The cheerful heart celebrates the sufficiency of God’s grace; the His grace abounds for those who give so that their needs will be met and can continue to do good works.
But how?
How does God do it?
Our text this morning teaches God given motives why the Corinthian church gave generously.
So, why was the Corinthian Church given to generosity that can help us?
Because they are learning that...
I. GOD SUPPLIES THEIR CAPACITY IN CHRIST (v.
10)
A. ________ I don’t know about you but there was a time in my life when I didn’t think I was anybody, couldn’t see my own potential, wasted my time, wasted my money, and had nothing to show for my time on the earth?
But thanks be to GOD he didn’t leave me, but deposited in me a new life in Christ Jesus!
GOD MADE EVERYBODY SOMEBODY IN CHRIST JESUS?
AM I RIGHT ABOUT IT?

If he can take two fish and five loaves of beard an feed 5000; surely he can stretch what you have to do even more.

Final Application
Dr King in 1965 after ending the march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge to Montgomery’s state capital encouraged the people concerning their sacrifice and the seed they had sown for justice.
He said,
I know so of you are asking today, How long will it take?”
I come to say to you this afternoon, however difficult the moment, however frustrating the hour, it will not be long, because the truth pressed to earth will rise again.
How long?
Not long, because no lie can live forever.
How long?
Not long, because you still reap what you sow.
