TOPIC: The Throne of Grace

TEXT (NKJV)
God’s Supreme Revelation
1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke (of grace) in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
OBJECTIVE: dwell among us
SUBJECT: conjoin twins (unbreakable bond)
INTRODUCTION
conjoint twins are fascinating and unique!
Conjoined twins are identical twins[1] joined in utero. An extremely rare phenomenon, the occurrence is estimated to range from 1 in 49,000 births to 1 in 189,000 births, with a somewhat higher incidence in Southwest Asia and Africa.[2] Approximately half are stillborn, and an additional one-third die within 24 hours. Most live births are female, with a ratio of 3:1.[2][3]
The spoken word is like conjoint twins its identical.

PROPHET—(Heb. nabi, from a root meaning “to bubble forth, as from a fountain,” hence “to utter”, comp. Ps. 45:1). This Hebrew word is the first and the most generally used for a prophet. In the time of Samuel another word, roeh, “seer”, began to be used (1 Sam. 9:9). It occurs seven times in reference to Samuel. Afterwards another word, hozeh, “seer” (2 Sam. 24:11), was employed. In 1 Ch. 29:29 all these three words are used: “Samuel the seer (ro’eh), Nathan the prophet (nabi’), Gad the seer” (hozeh). In Josh. 13:22 Balaam is called (Heb.) a kosem “diviner,” a word used only of a false prophet.

The “prophet” proclaimed the message given to him, as the “seer” beheld the vision of God. (See , .)
as the “seer” beheld the vision of God. (See , .)
a prophet was a spokesman for God; he spake in God’s name and by his authority ().
He is the mouth by which God speaks to men (; ), and hence what the prophet says is not of man but of God (, ; comp. ; ; ).
Prophets were the immediate organs of God for the communication of his mind and will to men (, ). The Easton, M. G. (1893). In Easton’s Bible dictionary. New York: Harper & Brothers.
In the Bible there are major and minor prophets.

Canonical and non canonical prophets eg. Jesher, Nathan, Ellen G. White
They normal brings hope and deliverance and warnings of the judgement to come.
Numbers 12:6–8 NKJV
Then He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?”
What did the prophet spoke in times past to our fathers?
NEED
Exodus 25:8–9 NKJV
And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.
God desire to dwell with us
The pattern of the tabernacle
Hebrews 8:5 NKJV
who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”
Exodus 25:40 NKJV
And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.
the phases of the administration in the earthly must be patterned according to that which was shown on the mountain.
“there is a sanctuary in heaven which the Lord pitch and not man.”
28 fundamental belief pg. 268
Ellen white penned in the GC 424, The subject of the sanctuary was the key which unlocked the mystery of the disappointment of 1844. It opened to view a complete system of truth, connected and harmonious, showing that God's hand had directed the great advent movement and revealing present duty as it brought to light the position and work of His people.
The early Advent movement was diligent student of the word.
Both the prophecy of , "Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed," and the first angel's message, "Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come," pointed to Christ's ministration in the most holy place, to the investigative judgment, and not to the coming of Christ for the redemption of His people and the destruction of the wicked. The mistake had not been in the reckoning of the prophetic periods, but in the event to take place at the end of the 2300 days. Through this error the believers had suffered disappointment, yet all that was foretold by the prophecy, and all that they had any Scripture warrant to expect, had been accomplished. At the very time when they were lamenting the failure of their hopes, the event had taken place which was foretold by the message, and which must be fulfilled before the Lord could appear to give reward to His servants.
SATISFACTION

in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds

who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power

when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

VISULIZATION
the hand was symbolic in the enchant world. it was believed that from it one ether bestowed grace or pronounce punishment. in addition, the represented the authority of an individual, the instrument of caring out a persons instruction.
because of its special physical status the right hand was assigned important metaphorical significance, frequently expressing blessings, fellowship or comfort. certain acts of ritual cleansing, as well as the ordination of the Aaronic priesthood.
GC. pg 424 Christ had come, not to the earth, as they expected, but, as foreshadowed in the type, to the most holy place of the temple of God in heaven. He is represented by the prophet Daniel as coming at this time to the Ancient of Days: "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came"--not to the earth, but--"to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him." . {GC 424.2}
APPEAL
This coming is foretold also by the prophet Malachi: "The Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, He shall come, saith the Lord of hosts." . The coming of the Lord to His temple was sudden, unexpected, to His people. They were not looking for Him there. They expected Him to come to earth, "in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel." . {GC 424.3}
But the people were not yet ready to meet their Lord. There was still a work of preparation to be accomplished for
425
them. Light was to be given, directing their minds to the temple of God in heaven; and as they should by faith follow their High Priest in His ministration there, new duties would be revealed. Another message of warning and instruction was to be given to the church. {GC 424.4}
Says the prophet: "Who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness." , . Those who are living upon the earth when the intercession of Christ shall cease in the sanctuary above are to stand in the sight of a holy God without a mediator. Their robes must be spotless, their characters must be purified from sin by the blood of sprinkling. Through the grace of God and their own diligent effort they must be conquerors in the battle with evil. While the investigative judgment is going forward in heaven, while the sins of penitent believers are being removed from the sanctuary, there is to be a special work of purification, of putting away of sin, among God's people upon earth. This work is more clearly presented in the messages of . {GC 425.1}
When this work shall have been accomplished, the followers of Christ will be ready for His appearing. "Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord, as in the days of old, and as in former years." . Then the church which our Lord at His coming is to receive to Himself will be a "glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing." . Then she will look "forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners." . {GC 425.2}
