Ladies you have a responsibility to invest in the next generation.

tit 2:3
Titus 2:3–5 ESV
3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

You have a responsibility for your family.

You have a responsibility for your purity.

Believers are to live in such a way that their works don’t undermine their witness.

Young man you are responsible to keep yourself in check.

Titus 2:6 ESV
6 Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled.
self-controlled - means to be prudent, reasonable sensible, to keep your head!

to be prudent, with focus on self-control, be reasonable, sensible, serious, keep one’s head

You only have one task but it is a big task!

Leadership in the local church must exemplify the gospel in word and deed.

Titus 2:7–8 ESV
7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, 8 and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.
Model - τύπος “to shape an impression or make a pattern”
1 Timothy 4:12 ESV
12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

Christianity is best taught when it is caught.

Titus was to leave his mark on the younger men in the congregation.

Christianity is communicated through life on life.

You have an obligation to put yourself under those that God has placed over you.

Titus 2:9–10 ESV
9 Bondservants are to be submissive to their own masters in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, 10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.
