Genesis 8:20–22 NASB95
20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 The Lord smelled the soothing aroma; and the Lord said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done. 22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease.”

Genesis 8:22 NASB95
22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease.”
gen 8:20-
So, we see that after the flood God speaks to Himself, therefore making two covenants to Himself
“I will never again curse the ground on account of man.”
I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.
Then he gives us 8 things that “as the earth remains” or until Jesus returns that “Shall Not Cease.”
Seedtime, Planting by men.
Harvest, reaping by men.
Cold
Heat
Summer
Winter
Day
Night
Things change, season change.
Psalm 30:5 NASB95
5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
Things might be cold but they’ll heat up again…
Summer and winter.
it remind me of the text in Song of Songs
Song of Solomon 2:11–13 NASB95
11 ‘For behold, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. 12 ‘The flowers have already appeared in the land; The time has arrived for pruning the vines, And the voice of the turtledove has been heard in our land. 13 ‘The fig tree has ripened its figs, And the vines in blossom have given forth their fragrance. Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, And come along!’ ”
Song 2:11-
I love this verse because often time the season and the trail is so difficult and we feel is will never pass.
The King speaks to the Shilammite and she hears his voice and remind her, “the winter is passed.”
i hate the winter.. it the one thing i miss about souther cali.its becoming that time in the year when you feet get cold i hate it.
But i got good news for your feet, God if faithful to make it warm again.
speak of a time when sin was rapid.
wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
God raise up a man named noah, had him build an ark. in it his family and every animal brought in 2 by 2.
for 40 days and 40 nights it rained.
When the rained settled and they got off the boat. Noah built an alter to the Lord
Genesis 8:20–21 NASB95
20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 The Lord smelled the soothing aroma; and the Lord said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.
Genesis 8:20 NASB95
20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
gen 8
The Lord smelled the soothing aroma and He did not make the offings to man but to Himself..
meaning the condition for keeping these promise were not based upon man’s actions, but God own faithfulness.
“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest!”
This is a Law..
The is regarded as
“Law of reciprocity” or the “Principe of reciprocity.”
What is reciprocity?
the quality or state of being reciprocal. A mutual exchange of privileges.
Its a giving an a getting, or an exchange.
This is a principle. God didnt make this covent with man but himself
If you sow something, you will reap something.. PERIOD!
you dont have to even believe in this for this to be true.
Notice
Galatians 6:7 NASB95
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.
now this is not just about being a farmer.. or money, watch the rest.
gal 6:8
Galatians 6:8–9 NASB95
8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
Paul here speaking of sowing and not reaping the benifit or the harvest.
what then is the instruction?
Don’t lose heart and Don’t give up!! Keep sowing because in due time you will reap, if you don’t quit.
Don’t be decided. God is not a man that He should lie.
knowing this law should affect us

In regards to other.

The golden rule.
Matthew 7:12 NASB95
12 “In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 7:12 NIV
12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
when i would drive in would hear people say, “yo man, you got great energy man. i like you”
im thinking no, im just nice to you.
I want you to be nice to me, so im being nice to you in the hopes that we would have a pleasant ride.
Luke 6:38 NASB95
38 “Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”
luke 6:
Notice, give and it shall be given to you. Meaning, YOU NEVER LOSE!
now this is also,

In regards to our labor.

Here the biblical idea
gen 3:17
Genesis 3:17–19 NASB95
17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life. 18 “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you will eat the plants of the field; 19 By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.”
The idea is, to get something you have to work for it.
By the sweat of your face You will eat bread.
Hard work, you have to labor and sow.
And often times it will not be easy and you will want to quit, but!!!
YOU WILL REAP, IF YOU DON’T QUIT!
Paul tell them
2 thes
2 Thessalonians 3:10 NASB95
10 For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.
Notice the NASB says “not willing to work, he is not to eat!”
If you want to reap, you must sow.

In regard to money.

Malachi 3:8–11 NASB95
8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. 9 “You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you! 10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. 11 “Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the Lord of hosts.
mal 3:8-
Malachi says it robbing God.
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse
Why?
so that there may be food in My house.
What happens if I bring it?
test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.
2 cor 9:
2 Corinthians 9:6–10 NASB95
6 Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; 9 as it is written, He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, His righteousness endures forever.” 10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;

In regards to the Kingdom of God

Mark 4:26–29 NASB95
26 And He was saying, “The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil; 27 and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know. 28 “The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head. 29 “But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
Mark 4:26-
The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil.
Hey, are we casting seed?
Could we not be reaping because we are not sowing?
the harvest has come.”
matt 9:
Matthew 9:37 NASB95
37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
One of the ideas here and there are not many that are willing to work to receive the harvest.
Lost of people want the benefits, but few want to actually sow or work.
What does jesus tell them to do when they face this dilemma?
Matthew 9:38 NASB95
38 “Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
matt 9:
in essence, SOW IN PRAYER
