Ephesians 6:14–17 ESV
Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. What is Righteousness?

What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.”

-Abraham is declared righteous because of his faith in God.
-In , Abraham obeys the Lord as he takes Issac to be sacrificed. God had made a promise to Abraham that he would be the father of nations. Abraham trusts in the God even though he loves his son. Because of Abraham’s belief in God, God declares him righteous.
