We gather here in God's presence, to witness and celebrate the marriage of David & Cham who stand before us in faith, hope, and love. We seek God’s favor and blessing over their coming together to sustain them through the years to come. It is our pleasure to celebrate this joyful occasion with them.
By this union, we not only recognize it as a legal obligation, but as a bond made in the site of God, a relationship made in heaven, the joining of two – a supernatural fusion creating one flesh. Your paths must be parallel with each other – one will not walk ahead and one will not walk behind, but you will journey together. Your responsibilities are significant – you are not only responsible for your children and yourselves, but you are responsible for the well-being of each other. Your joys will be multiplied – the days ahead should be marked by times of celebration as a family. Your challenges will not go away – no one said marriage and family are easy, but with God…all things are possible. David & Cham, never forget that God promises will be with.
Who gives this woman to be married to this man?

:::: CHARGE TO COUPLE
David & Cham, by doing what you are doing today you are showing your steadfast love for one another. God’s Word implores you to continue showing deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of wrongs. So as you stand here today, you make a solemn vow to each other, a deliberate promise that come what may, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health you will be true and faithful to each other.
This is far more than the exchanging of promises. It is one of blessing. It is only with God's help that you can steadfastly keep the promises you will make to each other. God must be the center of your marriage. It is by His authority that you come together today, dedicating and committing your marriage to Him. He will never leave you nor will He ever forsake you. He will always be by your side to help you. He is faithful in all His ways. The nearer you keep to God, the closer and dearer you will be to each other.

Will you continue to strengthen it from day to day and week to week with the best resources available? Will you stand by (her) in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, and will you shun all others and keep yourself to (her) alone as long as you both shall live?

:::: UNITY CANDLE
:::: UNITY CANDLE
You may have seen that there are candles & sand behind me. By God’s love and grace, your lives and paths have come together, and in this symbolic ceremony, you will each take a little bit of sand, representing your previous separate pathways, and you will mix them all together into one, symbolizing your desire to walk life's journey together as one family.
David, Cham, Peighton, Praxton, and Kayelynn… please take a candle symbolizing your lives before today, and together light the center candle to symbolize the union of your collective lives forever forward.
