Introduction:
Everyone, everywhere, wastes their time in some sort of fashion.
They waste time hating themselves.
They waste times living under the power of someone else’s words.
They wast time trying to impress people.
and the list goes on.
People live like this and they have no joy in their lives, they have no peace, no happiness.
Why?
Because they will never be who they want you to be.
SO whats the solution?
Ephesians 5:16 NKJV
redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:16
We need to make sure that we are making the best use of our time for God’s will, because the days are evil and Jesus is coming soon.
We cannot make the best use of the time God has given us, if we are wasting time on those things I said earlier.
Hating Oneself
Hating Oneself
You may hate yourself for doing something, or your body, or looks, or something.
When you’re spending time hating yourself, you’re wasting the time God has given you to glorify Him.
we need to understand that everyone makes mistakes, just because you dating the wrong person, broke someones heart, maybe done something wrong..
It’s okay.. Everyone makes mistakes..
If you sinned, you can be forgiven, just takes repentance.
If you dating someone and you hate yourself for that, why?
You made a mistake, learn from it. Get back up.
Don’t hate yourself for something that won’t matter in 5 years.
Living under people’s opinions
A big problem today is social media...
Not social media itself, but the way people talk about other people through social media.
Not only that, but we tend to find our identity in that.
Twitter Game
We can’t let social media dictate our lives.
Our followers do not say who we are.
Our post don’t say who we are, because we only post the good things about life.
Jesus is the one who tells you who you are,
Child of God ()
Friend of Jesus ()
Justified and Redeemed ()
Accepted by God ()
God loves me and chooses me ()
When we let our social media dictate who we are, we are letting people have power over us.
When this happens, we let those people tells us who we are… Even fi they don’t know us.
As believers, the world and people don’t define us, Jesus defines us.
Stop letting have people power over you, their words don’t matter, only what God says about you does.
Of course, unless you are living in sin and someone is trying to help you...”
Impressing People
Another problem we face in social media is impressing people.
We post only the good things, we post our best and that it.
We see other people doing the same, and all it is is a lie.
We see little kids getting jealous and all this crap because they see someone’s post, when in reality that person is broken on the inside.
It gets bad when you do it to impress people.
You do it to get likes, and if you don’t get enough likes, then it ruins your day.
Thats when it is a problem.
As christians, we need to stop trying to impress people, just to get them to like us, because you will never live up to someones standards.
Instead of trying to impress people, lets just seek after God, and bring Him glory.
When we are seeking after God, he will bring in the people we need in our lives.
Jacob found Leah when he was working, doing what he was supposed to be doing.
It is a waste of time trying to impress people.
In conclusion;
We all waste time, but we can take steps to stop wasting time in some areas of life.
