In this parable, Jesus is talking about the 4 responses to the Word of God found in different individuals. Where the parable is talking about types of individuals, The Wayside, Stony and Thorny response indicates an unsaved person; while “Good Ground” indicates a “Saved” person.
But where the parable is talking about the 4 responses of a single individual, Jesus is talking about and to a “Christian” (Good Ground), who bears fruit at a 30/fold rate; 60/fold rate; and even a 100/fold rate out of the “Good Ground” of life; has areas of their lives that are “Wayside”; “Stony”; “Thorny”!
And the problem that the Lord is trying to get us to see is that just being satisfied with the produce of the “Good Ground” section of our lives is not “Good Enough”!
And Jesus is warning us that
Elaborate…….the mother that you are; the lady that you are………..
And “All” of who we were and what we were became a new creature when we became a Christian.

And the Lord is trying to show us that though the “Good” of who we are is producing 30, 60, and even 100/fold; that produce is only “Garden Produce” when we were created for “Farm Production!”
And that all of our lives is “Good Ground” that was weathered by sin, the devil and the world, but, not only ‘Can be”, but is required to be “tilled and worked” back to “Fertility” and “Fruitfulness” for God! Jesus saved ALL of who and what we were!
Elaborate…….the mother that you are; the lady that you are………..
And “All” of who we were and what we were became a new creature when we became a Christian.
What is the difference between a “Garden” and a “Farm”?
A Garden is for “Pleasure” and “Personal Profit”! It can contain beautiful flowers and/ or ornaments. It can be a place that one cultivates as a retreat for peace and quiet. It also often is used to grow food for personal, family etc.. consumption.
Sunday Service is the “Garden” for God’s children!

It’s where we dress up for the most part; by the way is the Biblical Model of dress throughout Scripture
Elaborate.......This doesn’t mean that your clothes have to be as dressy as someone else’s; but it does mean that God deserves the “Best” of what you have when you come into His “Presence!”
It’s where God’s children come to get away from the noise of everyday life!
it’ where we come to be “Spiritually Fed”
it’s where we come to worship, praise and serve Him.
it’s where we come to “Fellowship” with the rest of our local “Spiritual family”!
It’s the “Garden” where though we “Congregate” together with God; we “Individually” “Walk with Him Alone!”
But a “Farm” is for “Pleasure, Personal, AND Public Profit”! A “Farm” produces for those who “CANNOT” or “DOES NOT” produce for themselves!
ALL farms “Contain” a “Garden”; in the sense that the “Farm” also provides food for the needs of the farmer, farmer’s family, farm workers etc...
AND are often laid out in the most beautiful patterns; are often decorated with some of the most beautiful ornaments; and can be a most serene, peaceful and quiet place.
Gardening is a “Hobby” but “Farming is a “Profession.”
You see, The Garden is our conversion, our inheritance…….our “Hypostatic Union IN Christ”,
And the Lord wants us to take the same dedication; commitment etc.. which we put into Gardening the “Good” area of who we are and use them to till, cultivate, weed, plow, irrigate the “Wayside”, “Stony” and “Thorny” areas of who we are and become the “Farm” that each and every one “Child of God” was “Born Again” to be!
You see, The Garden is our conversion, our inheritance…….our “Hypostatice Union IN Christ”,

It’s where we walk and talk with God while the dew is still on the roses……..
If truth be told, ALL of us were born either, or a combination of “Wayside”, “Stony” or “Thorny”!
Pslams 51: 5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
That means each and every one of us were “Physically” born Spiritually “Blind & Deaf”, Bound by sin; In “Sinful Flesh”; “In” AND “Of” a world that is ruled by the “Prince of the Power of the Air; and headed to “Hades in a Hand Basket!” At Worse each and every one of us were;
Wayside Ground-
That means each and every one of us was born first of all one or a combination of ;

4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
Heareth the Word (to hear (communication) — to receive a communication from someone.
Do not Understand (Understand v. — to know and comprehend the nature or meaning of.)
Fowls-the Devil, Sin & the Flesh ganged up on us to take the “Seed” from us before it took root
We were blinded from the fact that the Word was that Word is that brought everything into existence AND is that everything that exists consists of!
The Word is that which brought everything into existence AND is what everything that is consists of!
We were blinded from the fact that the The Word (Seed) that the Sower is Sowing to redeem man back to God and bring earthly "Dominion" back to man!
And at best, we were;

5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
We receive the Word with joy; Shout “Hallelujah” to the Word (while we’re in church!) “Amen” the Word (while we’re in church)! “Sing” the Word (while we’re in church) Pray-Preach-Teach. But because we don’t have much earth; “Spiritual Maturity” because we didn’t let the Word take root, when living the Word causes trouble, becomes offended (to disbelieve ⇔ stumble v. — to disbelieve permanently or finally, conceived of as stumbling and falling down.)
Endures for a while until it becomes uncomfortable. Until it calls for us to do something that we don’t want to do

You have to be “Rooted” in God’s Word!

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
Cares of this world & Deceitfulness of Riches “Choke” ( inhibit the action, function, or development of something (entirely)), deprive it of life until it becomes unfruitful!

8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Understand (Comprehends the nature and meaning of)-which prevented the Devil from snatching it away from them (The Word is too valuable to let it go for anything -Parable of the Lost Coin)
Brought forth fruit
Allowed the Word to take root
Enabling them to stand when the heat, trials and tribulations that the world, the flesh and the devil brings against the Word.
Allows them to put the cares of and riches of living in their proper perspective; secondary to the "Fruitfulness" of the Word!
Thirty-Sixty-Hundred(fold)---"Increase of the Seed"
Seed-The Word of the Kingdom
Sow; to be sown (state) v. — to be or become placed or scattered in or on the ground for future growth (as of seeds).
And in sin did my mother conceive me.
And we all were “Seeded” by the Sower!
Most of us were in church when we were children because we were made to come to church. And when we came, we had to stay all day!
Talk about other times when “Seeding” took place.......................
And those of us who allowed the “Seed” to take root in the “Good” section of who we were allowed the “Seed” to take root and bring forth the first fruit “Salvation!”
And we all have some “Good Sections”! If we look back at before we got saved, there were certain things that our conscious just would not let us do because they were just wrong to do!
Give Example;
And there were certain things that our conscious wouldn’t leave us alone until we did them because they were the right thing to do!

That “Conscious” was the “Breath of God” that gives life.
Which produces our praise, worship, etc……………..

But the problem is we didn’t give ALL that we are to Christ!
