Introduction
Marion loved to tell stories! He had a lot to tell and enjoyed talking, no matter the day or time.
We all, including our brother Marion, live our lives as a tale to be told. In this tale God gives the details:
God is the Eternal Judge
God is the Eternal Judge
1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
There has never been a time when God wasn’t. He is eternal!
4 For a thousand years in thy sight Are but as yesterday when it is past, And as a watch in the night.
Our time on earth to God is but a moment in the spectrum of eternity.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
As the the eternal God, He is also the all knowing God. The one who sees us as we are. He sees and knows our sin and that is what separates us from Him. He is holy, pure and righteous.
We are Separated from Him
We are Separated from Him
7 For we are consumed by thine anger, And by thy wrath are we troubled.
Our sin brings forth God’s anger and wrath. He will not have a relationship with sin.
23 for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
3 Thou turnest man to destruction; And sayest, Return, ye children of men.
What must we do then, since we are separated from Him? Does God hate us? No! In fact tells us:
Hey Guys,
Below is the order of service for tomorrow. We will try to get all this done by noon. Keep in mind that I will have a paper copy available for you tomorrow. Please also let me know if you have questions or comments.
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Thanks for helping and being involved with this. I am sure it will be a blessing to Marion’s family.

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

We are all allowed to be sinners, but to have a relationship with God we must come through Christ by faith.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 not of works, lest any man should boast.
John 14:
Knowing God gives peach and rest.
Knowing God gives peach and rest.
1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
For generations, God has been the source of protection and rest for those who believe Him. A dwelling place offers rest from the elements and from the world around. There is only one source of that kind of rest, the kind of rest that Marion had. He would say to me, “I know where I am going” and “I just want God’s will to be done.”
12 So teach us to number our days, That we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Knowing God gives us perspective on the frailty and brevity of our life on earth. Marion’s understanding of that was enormous. Right up until the end of his life, he continued to point people to Christ in order to use every last moment for Christ. Many of you have received his phone calls. Either to get back in church or to visit for the first time.
16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, And thy glory unto their children.
17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: And establish thou the work of our hands upon us; Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
Purpose comes from God, otherwise we just spin our wheels until death and the things that mattered no longer do. But when you have a relationship with Christ, only what’s done for Him will matter.

“Only one life, twill soon be past, only what is done for Christ will last.”
There is a man’s body in this box, and he has left us with two messages from the tale of his life:
Know Christ.
Do things for Christ.
