Paul was on his second missionary Journey in Lystra, and met Timothy’s faithful mother and grandmother.

He was impressed with Timothy’s devotion to Jesus Christ and mentored him for many years, until he raised him up to be sent on missions.

Where did Paul send Timothy to, and why?

He sent him to the influential church in Ephesus, because he got word that people infiltrated the and started spreading false things about Jesus, and how to follow Him.

Timothy was sent to confront these leaders and restore order to this church.
