Effective Ways to Overcome Bitterness and Resentment
1. Seek to Forgive them . ...Pray for them and your heart.
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
2. Stop stalking them. ...Prevent yourself from talking bad about these people and what they did to you. ...
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
3. Stop rehearsing the hurt and what you want to do or should have done
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
4.Focus on improving yourself. ...
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
5. Focus on the results of not moving on -
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
Focus on improving yourself. ...
