Who God is.
Who God is.
Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
then your barns will be filled with plenty,
and your vats will be bursting with wine.
This is before Jesus walked the Earth.
This is before Jesus walked the Earth.
Now like we talked about last week, the Lord hears the prayers of the believer.
Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
Who is the Lord Addressing? The Children of Jacob He
And we know that we can stand on the promises of the Bible.
We learned to seek first the kingdom of God

Today I come to tell you about a passage of scripture that explains who God says He is. And how we are to have the favors of the Lord. If you are not a believer you may look at me like a mad man,
And a great way to start doing that is to see what Lord says about Himself
6 “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. 7 From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. But you say, ‘How shall we return?’ 8 Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions. 9 You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. 10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. 11 I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. 12 Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts.
13 “Your words have been hard against me, says the Lord. But you say, ‘How have we spoken against you?’ 14 You have said, ‘It is vain to serve God. What is the profit of our keeping his charge or of walking as in mourning before the Lord of hosts? 15 And now we call the arrogant blessed. Evildoers not only prosper but they put God to the test and they escape.’ ”
6 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,
6 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, 7 keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”
Malachi 3:6-
6 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, 7 keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”
Holiness -
This is before Jesus walked the Earth.
Who is the Lord Addressing? The Children of Jacob He
What does God list first?
v6 He is a merciful and gracious God!
Grace is the Lord Giving us what we don’t deserve,Mercy is God no giving us what we do deserve.
Every sin is punishable by death, yet He has mercy on us
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
156 Great is your mercy, O Lord;
give me life according to your rules.
Slow to anger!
Look at the Mercy God has had in Pauls Life!?
1 But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
The Lord saved this man who’s purpose in life was to set out and persecute the Christians! God’s mercy abounded in him… so much so that states that he is the chief of sinners!!
15 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. 16 But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.
1 tim 1:15-16
Slow to Anger
Abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness!
How to have Gods Favor
How to have Gods Favor
Abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness!
We can see the depth of Gods love when He sent His only son to die for us, We can see the depth of God’s love by the demonstration at Damascus. But His love is no only perfect… It is steadfast and faithful!!!
Beloved… Gods love is firm. and faithful… Gods love is greater than your sins, Gods Love and faithfulness is unfailing, un wavering, unceaseing!
THERE IS NOTHING THAT YOU CAN DO !!!
Repent, again repent, 1000 times repent!
FAll on your face and worship the Lord!
For God has been Faithful to you!!!! What have you done for Him?
10 So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’ ”
Brothers and Sister… I plead with you.
THIS IS THE GREATEST PROMIS FOR US!!!
Why do you puff your chests out in pride.. Why do you harden your heart against the Lord??? What gain is there from pushing the Lord out?
6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
james 4:6
6 The Lord lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked to the ground.
12 Out of the brightness before him
hailstones and coals of fire broke through his clouds.
4 For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation.
psalm 149:
If Gods love is in you, how blessed are you!!
9 He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.
You might say “But pastor How am I to humble my self!? Teach me so I may be in God’s favor and so he will draw near to me!”
Look at david… expound!
1 Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and the flood sweeps over me.
3 I am weary with my crying out; my throat is parched. My eyes grow dim with waiting for my God.
and again in the same chapter he says
5 O God, you know my folly; the wrongs I have done are not hidden from you.
6 Let not those who hope in you be put to shame through me, O Lord God of hosts; let not those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel.
If you have humbled yourself before the Lord, IF your heart IS repentive you can say to God..
16 Answer me, O Lord, for your steadfast love is good; according to your abundant mercy, turn to me.
17 Hide not your face from your servant, for I am in distress; make haste to answer me.
18 Draw near to my soul, redeem me; ransom me because of my enemies!
19 You know my reproach, and my shame and my dishonor; my foes are all known to you.
20 Reproaches have broken my heart, so that I am in despair. I looked for pity, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none.
21 They gave me poison for food, and for my thirst they gave me sour wine to drink.
6 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,
7 keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”
I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. 3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together! 4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. 5 Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. 6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.
Of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, so that he drove him out, and he went away.
1 I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
9 Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!
10 The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
11 Come, O children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
20 He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.
21 Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
5 Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us”?
You see beloved I read all this scripture to you scripture we have all read before, but have you ever felt the pain David was feeling, have you had that connection with God, do you have that connection now? Or are you walking astray? The way of the lord is narrow, so narrow its like a razor blade, we are always falling off, left or right.
5 Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us”?
6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
My Sisters and brother in the faith, we talked before about seeking first the kingdom of God, and in order to do that we must first be humbled.
You do this! Is this how your heart works?? Are you disgusted with how unworthy you are? Do you humble yourself before the Lord. It is such a profitable thing to do for your spiritual life!
If Gods love is in you, how blessed are you!!
For you have been fighting the fight! and one day the Lord will take you home where you can abound in His steadfastness, in His faithfulness, In his love and His mercy!
We can can the depths of Gods love when He sent His only son to die for us
