11/18/2018 Sermon Truths That Must Be Repeated

Because this morning I want to talk to you about Troost that must be repeated and repeated and repeated and repeated and AD infinitum Adamson item. We need to have a truce that are repeated and repeated and repeated and repeated. So I want you to turn with me to Deuteronomy chapter 6. Deuteronomy chapter 6 we're going to read the Shema. There are in a little bit more than the Shema the Shema is in the hebraic mindset in the children of Israel. One of the most important passages in the Empire to knock the Old Testament. Okay, and

so everybody there yet yet Deuteronomy 6 please stand in honor reading God's word. We're going to read four through seven.

hear o Israel the Lord I'm I've I've got it up there in one version and I'm saying in another because I'm so used to saying another version. Let me start again hear o Israel. The Lord Is Our God the Lord is one and you shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart and with all of your soul and with all of your might these words which I am commanding you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up Lord God we are so thankful to have your word. You have blessed us beyond measure to not only be our Lord and our savior in our God, but then they give us your written words. So we can hold it so that we can study it. So The Weeknd hide your word in our heart that we might not sin against you and so we can build a better relationship with you and walk out that word on a day-to-day basis Lord send your Holy Spirit to illuminate your word to us today. Let these truths resonate in her heart and resonate in our lives in Jesus name we pray amen and you may be seated.

There is several things before I get into the sermon today that I need to make sure you understand. I'm going to share with you seven essential biblical truths today, but these are a selection. This is by no means all of the essential truth unless you plan on leaving here sometime Wednesday night. I can't preach all the essential truth in 1 sermon. Okay. So these are not all the essential truths. These are not the most all of the most important rules and also because I consider all of these truths to be absolutely essential absolutely vital. Absolutely the word of God important. They're also not listed in order. I have to preach them in order. But number one is not more important than number two, and number two is not more important than number 5. They're all bydalek vitally important. The other thing is is that notice there is a. After each one of these statements. That's because biblically speaking these are trues. These are not open for debate. I'm not working in any of these trues. I'm not working and gray areas. I'm not working where we can talk about while how do you interpret this? How do you interpret that? These are all clear truth taught in the Bible and they are truth of God's word. Okay, and then also known as this so that you don't for a moment pass off anything that I'm saying this morning. Are you a redeemed biblical Christian are any of these true of you? Are you a redeem? Biblical Christian? Are you a parent? Are you a grandparent? Do you teach the word that it is your responsibility to repeatedly teach these truths now, we just read a passage out of Deuteronomy that says you will teach these to your children. Okay, but if you went back just a couple of verses before I started reading it also says you need to teach him to your grandchildren. So if you're here and you're sewol of my kids are grown and gone. Well, if you've got children if you've got great-grandchildren, you've got anyone in your Legacy tree. It is your responsibility to be part of their teaching part of their learning. You need to be speaking the word of God into their lives and the truth of Jesus Christ and God the father and God the Holy Spirit into their lives. Now this statement it is your responsibility is like a two-sided coin. The first side of the coin is pick up your sword. It's a challenge pick up your sword and start teaching. If you're not you need to pick up your sword and start teaching and don't just teach him to your children or grandchildren teach him everywhere. You get the opportunity be instant in season and out ready to share. The reason for the hope that you have be instant inside every second and every minute and every hour to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, right? And again, you're coming up on a big holiday time a lot of family members or you'll be around family members over the next few days that you're not always around. Don't even say man. You know, you're not always around all those family members. Here's an opportunity. You may have the opportunity to speak into their life be instant be ready to speak the word. You may not enjoy the Harvest but if you can plant the seed or if you can be a part of the watering do whatever the Lord gives you the opportunity to do and do it over and over and over and over again as often as you have opportunity and look for those opportunities actively look for those opportunities and also remember this It's not your responsibility. Let me give you that side. It is your responsibility to teach it is your responsibility to speak life. It isn't your responsibility for the results. That's not your responsibility. You can speak life into your children and your grandchildren. They will still grow up and have to decide. What they're going to do you can speak life in the anybody else in your in your life circles. It's up to them altimate Lee what they're going to do with Jesus Christ and with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Okay, so you don't you don't have to worry about like if if one of your children you're going to be broken hearted, don't get me wrong. But if one of your children or one of your grandchildren grow up and reject the Lord you're going to be broken hearted, but if you were speaking into their life, you did everything you could do. You did everything you can do and you can continue to pray as long as there's breath in your lungs. You can continue to pray that the truth that was hidden in their hearts. The holy spirit will bring back up over and over and over again until one day. They accept the Lord as long as there's breath in their lungs. There's hope there's always hope especially if they've heard the gospel. That's one of the reasons why I won is in children's programs like children's church is going on right now is so absolutely critical. We want to see those children 1 to the Lord and grow up and never know a day of rebellion. That's what we want to see but God forbid if any of dura Bell at least they had all of that put into their heart and that's fertile ground for the Holy Spirit to work with That's fertile ground for the Holy Spirit to work with to call them unto himself again. praise the Lord one more thing before we get really rolling. I'm not going to take a bunch of time with each one of these to back him up.

I should be preaching to the choir this morning. This isn't these aren't things that I should have to back up with a lot of scripture I could but I couldn't get through all seven of my want to get through if I spend a bunch of time back in each and every one of them up. So this morning I'm going to say him talk a little bit about him and move on to the next one if you see any of these That you say well, I don't know Pastor. I don't know if that's really the word of God come and see me. Let me sit down with you. Let me show you what I don't have time to show you today that every one of these things every one of these trues. I'm going to share with you today is actually a truth of God's work. And I don't have time to work out all of the background scriptures and all that kind of stuff. Today. We're going to kind of Step through. This is a reminder here is 7 of many that you need to be constantly repeating to everyone in your life that you have the opportunity to number one. Every person is facing eternity. Every person once you are not an eternal being in the sense of time passed. But once you are created you are an eternal being from then on into the future and there's only two places to spend eternity. heaven or the Lake of Fire you're either going to be with God or separated from God. That's the only two places that the Bible says and there's a big movement in the church to get rid of Hell or we don't want to talk about how we don't want to tell anyone. You're going to help. Well, I know it's not good news. The good news is you don't have to The bad news is that he'll does exist and Jesus talked more about hell than he did heaven. Because he wanted to warn people. And so hell is a reality folks and I in a minute ago. I said the Lake of Fire. Well, you got understand at the great white Throne of judgement. Hell is empty it out. And those whose names are not found in the Lamb's Book of Life are cast into the Lake of Fire. So in short hand, so to speak we will say people will spend eternity in hell. That's not exactly correct Dell stay in hell if they died from now until the great white Throne of judgement, then at the great white Throne of judgement there cast in the Lake of Fire in the lake of fires were those spend hell we don't want to stay there in our discussion. We want to talk about heaven. We want to talk about the Redemption of Jesus Christ. We want to talk about the good news is you don't have to go there. And people say how can God put someone in hell he doesn't. YouTube God has laid out life and death you choose. And everybody chooses and that's how people decide whether they're going to heaven or they're going to the lake of fire. They choose are they going to follow God in which case they'll be with God or they going to reject God in which case God dishonors their decision. You don't want to be with God. Okay. Here's the alternative. Everybody is facing eternity. And you know, that's got a grip our hearts. Because you go out to the grocery store. Or your favorite place to shop I know is Walmart, you know, but whatever as you go out in the world every man woman and child you see his face in eternity. everyone And there's only and this is one of my things but there's only one way to be saved folks and that's through the blood of Jesus Christ. Actually. It is here comes right now. I'm getting ahead of myself. Jesus Christ is the savior of all my Mankind and the only savior Do you know that Jesus had paid the price for All Mankind to be saved?

The most Dreadful person you can think of let me take a person for me from history just to make it easy Hitler Adolf Hitler. Jesus died for Adolf Hitler Jesus Paid the full and complete price for Adolf Hitler to be born again redeemed name in the Lamb's Book of Life in heaven bound. Hitler refused that gift but Jesus still paid the price. And that's true of every one of the over 7 billion people on the planet today every single one of them have the total of salvation of Jesus Christ sitting there is a gift. All they need to do is receive it. And there isn't a lot of different ways to Heaven. There's only one. Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. You don't work your way. They're out of good works. You don't do some kind of Mantra. You don't do some kind of chanting. You don't do any you are saved by the blood of Christ. Salvation is all about the blood of Christ. truth number three It's all about the blood of Christ. It's all about the finished work of the Cross which is why I say to you often. If you go, let's say you move you go somewhere else. You're looking for a church. You going to that church and that church doesn't talk about the blood of Christ doesn't talk about the Cross of Christ run. Run because without the blood in the cross, there is no salvation. You don't get saved because you attend the right Church. You get saved by the blood of Christ. There isn't a church on the face of the planet. They can save anybody. So you get saved by the blood of Christ and the finish work of the Cross and there is no other way, that's truth number 3 and that needs to be repeated over and over and over again to your children your grandchildren your unsaved spouse your unsaved brother your unsaved sister your unsafe parents. Listen, I'm wanting to give testimony. I was the first one in my family saved and neither one of my parents were saved and praise God both of them gave their life to Jesus Christ before they died. They they blocked all the all the Statistics and gave their life to Christ in their 70s and 80s, which normally that doesn't happen. But praise God they did and one day. I'm going to see him again. Just like I'm going to see my daughter Jennifer and I'm going to see Paula's family discount on before and excetera. We're going to get the opportunity to see them again because of the blood of Christ in the finished work of the Cross not because we do a list of do's and don'ts

you know remember what I tell you all the time the blood of Christ change my want to It isn't that I follow a list of do's and don'ts it's my want to got changed. I drink all the alcohol I want I take all the drugs I want. But my want to got changed so I don't want to anymore.

See, that's the difference between how most people perceive Christianity in reality. They think Christianity is big long list of do's and don'ts No, the do is get saved by the blood of Christ on the cross and then live for it.

That's it. We are saved by grace not of works. All of you can quote that in your sleep. But a lot of people leave out verse 10, that's that's Ephesians 2 89. We are saved by grace through faith and that not of yourself is a free gift of God, you know, that's Ephesians 2 89, but people stop there instead of reading the next verse the next verse says right after saying you are saved by grace not of works. It says now that you're saved get up and go to work.

Because you're saved unto good works. Which Christ has. Done. What? He's created for you. He created you to fit in this good work and maybe this could work. Whatever it is. He created for you. He created for you to live and work and breathe and have your being in this good work that he has created for you. And your good work. Thank God is not the same as my good work and not the same as Courtney is good work and not the same as the other Courtney's go to Courtney and Courtney to not the same for any of us. We're all V together. And we all complement each other as all those good works come together, you know, like Paul's always talking about the body not everyone can be the left hand nor should they not everybody can be the right foot nor should they not everybody can be the eyes or the mouth nor should they but when everybody comes together and does the good work God has gifted them to do and an in-call them to do then the body functions the way it's supposed to function. We are saved by grace not of works. You can't add one thing to the Cross folks. Remember that I told him that used to be song all the time at altar calls Just As I Am Without One Plea. But that. Blood was shed for me. We come empty-handed to the cross. But then at the cross Jesus is now my child go and go do this for the kingdom. You're not doing it for you. You're not doing it for the pastor. You're not doing it for the church. You're doing it for Jesus Christ in the Kingdom. That's what you're doing it for. Praise the Lord number 5. The Bible is the inspired word of God and is as vital as breathing.

right If you only time you're touching your Bible is a bring it to church on Sunday come and see me afterwards. Let me slap you two or three times.

This is the word of God to you. He blessed us. He didn't say listen. I want you to live the way I want you to live and I'm not going to leave you any instructions. So you just got to guess. No, he said hate here. It is. Let me spell it out for you. I'll I'll I'll inspire, you know men to write these words and I'll give you the Bible and now we are so privileged to live in a country that we can have as many bibles as we want. And then if that isn't good enough for you, you can get it on your computer so you can get it on your tablet. You can get it in your cell phone and carry a thousand Bibles with you. If you want all in a cell phone.

therefore

to him much is given much is required. You will have no excuse when you stand in front of Jesus at the bema judgement seat, like some people will that live in third world countries and they'll say Jesus. I didn't have a bible to read.

And Jesus will know that in Jesus say but you were faithful to me. You were saved and you were faithful to me and you followed the teachings the oral teachings you got from your leaders and excetera enter into your rest. Well done thou good and faithful servant and I'm not saying you're going to lose your salvation. If you don't read your Bible enough I'm saying is possible. Not because Jesus will punish you. But because you walk away. If you're not hiding the word of God in your heart constantly.

What are you feeding into your life? What are you feeding into your life? Is it the word of God? I hope so. I hope that you look at the word of God as being more vital to you than your next breath and you're hiding it in your heart every chance you get and you're studying it and you're reading it excetera number 6. If you are a Dean person a Biblical Faith prayer is an essential part of your life. Guys, let me talk to you a minute. We usually I'm stereotyping here, but we usually struggle more with prayer than the ladies. Do you know why because we were raised to be men. We were raised to take charge. We were raised to say I could do this. And the first thing you're saying when you start praying is Lord, I can't do this. So it goes against everything that is mail in US. To have a prayer life.

But here's a news flash. You can't do this. I don't care. How much of a man you are. You need God and you need the Holy Spirit and you need the word living in an alive not just words on a page but Dynamic and living in a live in your spirit and what helps do that is prayer. That's what helps turn them from words on a page into the Spirit-filled life. is prayer Prayer is essential to the Christian walk. It is essential.

You are blessed. You have got the word. You've got the spirit. You've got all of these things but folks you need to plug in. It's it's like having this super duper computer. That has all these apps and can do all these fantastic thing, but you never plug it into the power source.

Prayer is the power source prayer mixed with the word of God because the word of God is our standard for faith in practice. Then we had to that prayer and when you know, whenever we feel like we're hearing God speak this word go back and check it against the word because the still Small Voice you hear in prayer will never contradict the Bible. So the Bible is our standard for Faith and practice which is why you got to constantly be hiding it in your heart, but add to that prayer and I hope every time you go to read your Bible. The very first thing you do is pray and say holy spirit illuminate the word to me. Cuz you're not just reading words on a page. You're reading the word of God. So ask the Holy Spirit who's the author of it to illuminate it to you and they keep you true. You know, we're living in the age of deception folks. And the Bible says it's only going to get worse and it's going to get worse exponentially until the day. You're out of here Brothers by the Undertaker the upper take until you get out of here. You're going to face more deception and more deception and more deception in your life. So you got to be anchored in the word. You've got to be anchored in the word.

And as at Deception grows bigger, that's just all the more reason you've got to be anchored into work and you're going to see more and more big names fall mark my word. You're going to see more and more big names fall because God isn't going to allow them to stay on a pedestal and people to look up to them and not him.

I'm not saying everybody that's a big name preacher is bad. I'm not saying that but I am saying when people start elevating people. goggle Not the not the what I want to say the platform out from under him so that you can get your eyes back on Jesus because that's the author and finisher of your faith. Not a big name preacher or a denomination or particular church or something like that. So be a person of prayer and as often as you can as often as you can.

Did you let me say that again as often as you can not as often as you feel like it? Be involved in corporate prayer.

You got to have a prayer life outside of the church. You've got to have a daily prayer life, but friends there is something about people Gathering Together. And having prayer together like we do in Acts 29 and a prayer time and stuff like that. You cannot duplicate that by staying home. You can't if you have no choice that's different. I firmly believe God will bless and God will make up for gaps and everything like that when you can't when you're sick, and you can't when you're in jail, and you can't, you know you when you can't be there for some reason. It's beyond your control that's different, but when it's in your control and you choose. Not to go. You're missing out. Simple as that you're missing out number 7. The imminent Rapture of the redeemed and the soon return of Jesus Christ. The imminent Rapture of the redeemed. Do you know that every single prophecy in there's hundreds of them? In fact that if you go back to Genesis and move forward, there's thousands of them. Every single prophecy that it needs to happen before the Rapture of the church has happened every one of them. There isn't one yet to be done. There are more to happen before the second coming of Christ. But there is no more prophecies that need to take place before the Rapture the Rapture can happen before we get out of here today the Rapture could happen before you go to work on Monday. Everybody say, okay the Rapture can happen at any time.

Are you ready? And can I also add this?

Just like our brother gave testimony today. Not a one of us is more than one heartbeat away from eternity. You know, so even if you think the Rapture is years off in the future, that doesn't mean you're going home is yours off in the future.

So we have to live our lives ready. Ready? So that if we go by the upper taker The Rapture doesn't matter we go by the Undertaker doesn't matter. We stand in front of our savior in our Lord and hear well done thou good and faithful servant.

That takes being ready. That takes me ready. So I want to encourage you number one to be ready yourself number to to speak Readiness into the lives of everyone that you have an opportunity to speak to.

And I'll remind you of this point again in closing. This is your responsibility.

This is your responsibility to speak these truths and many more into people's lives every opportunity you get. amen bow your heads with me, please. Lord God we thank you. We praise you we glorify.
