Habits, traditions, doctrines. We as humans try using many different methods and means to develop or change our behaviours, and the behaviours of others, towards what we see as good and right. The Pharisees were no different, but as far as Jesus was concerned both they and we will only fall short if we try to use good behaviour to deal with evil. In this passage from Mark 7, we will see how our unrighteousness comes from within, and flows out in the things we do instinctively - and what can be done about it.
