Saturday Night Prayer/ Worship service
Saturday Night Prayer/ Worship service
Debbie: The Lord wants to release you.
3 scriptures to pray into tonight-
1- :
The Lord has said what we are going to do tonight is simply yoke up with His son, we’re going to get into some places with Him that many of you have been waiting on, were going to get into some places that without this time tonight, we wouldn’t understand.
We are going to partner with Jesus Christ, we are going to pray into some truth, just remind the Father of what he has already said and what he has already given.
S
We are going to take some things back to the throne room and simply ask God to begin to move on some promises.
Someone said to me, what if the reason Jesus Christ has not come back yet was because he was pacing heaven, preparing to deliver the promise he made to you this side of heaven.
We are going to remind him of his promises, believe what he has told us- and then, were going to wait. We’re not going to mindless wander while we wait, we are going to be busy while we wait, but nonetheless, we are going to wait on him to move. Patiently.
3 Scripture verses we are going to pray into for what I believe God is saying he is going to do:
Partnering with the Son:
1-
…v. 34- he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.
by commanding the demons to remain silent, he proved his authority over them- (the Father needs to remind some of you of His authority in you…some of you know it and use it, others are afraid…not of Him but of yourselves…you know you and you’re ability to mishandle things, but this isn’t yours to mishandle, it’s all His- but it needs to handled with authority from this place on)
Jesus wanted to reveal his identity as the Messiah according to His timetable, not according to satans timetable.
satan wanted the people to follow Jesus around for what they could get out of him, not because he was the son of God who could truly set them free from sins guilt and power.
Be careful of who you allow to walk in your path at any hour…sometimes the very thing Christ came for…people…can be the very thing satan can use to wear you out! It’ll drain you. It can exhaust you.
Everything, every person…its got to be on Gods timeline. Sometimes I think we appoint ourselves to people and situations that God has not appointed us to- thats why theres no deliverance, thats why there is no power.
v. 35- very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
v. 36- Simon and his companions went to look for him and when they found hin, the said, Everyone is looking for you...
they were looking for him because they wanted to be healed- there were many more sick, they needed to be freed of demons…but what choice does Jesus make here? In spite of everything that needs to be done- he goes off alone- to pray.
with so much ministry left to be done, with people I believe frantically running around looking for Jesus- he recognizes…I have to get to the Father, I have to get alone and pray.
Its easy to get caught up in so much ministry that you neglect times of solitude and prayer and worship.
2- 35-39
Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane and he said to his disciples, sit here while I go over there and pray. And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, My soul is very sorrowful, even to death, remain here and watch with me. And going a little farther, he fell on his face and prayed saying, My father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me, nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.
The Lord says, to get to the breaking, you gotta keep going just a little bit farther.
But, in keeping going, you’re gonna have to get alone, you’re gonna have to leave some stuff behind you- not necessarily forever, but for now, you gotta tell a few things and a few people, sit over there for a little while, I gotta few things that have to be taken care of…just between me and my Father.
Jesus kept going just a little farther with some things left behind...
I do not believe Jesus would have made it to the cross without the time he had to get alone with his father and spend
The bible says he was both God and man, so he knew what was coming, but could the cross have been bared if he hadn’t gotten alone for just a little bit
3-
Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed.
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, My father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.
(I feel like there are people in this house who are waiting on something to break, like you’re leaning agains a wall and at any minute, it could give way…and you’re ok with the unknown of where you’re falling, you’re just ready for this break to give way).
This weekend is the beginning of some rather strange things, things the world may say are strange, but its not strange, its movement. The Lord says you’re not going to move the way you’ve been moving, you’re going to be moving to a rhythm of heaven and the world doesn’t understand that, they only understand what makes sense, and what he is about to begin doing in this house…its not the natural, its the supernatural.
