Family trauma ruined a Thanksgiving/Christmas

Decided after returning to Spokane and having a generally low baseline for joy that this Christmas would be different!!!
I have maintained it with a few practicals
Set a list of things that are exciting to do.
Set a calendar to make the season what you want it to be
Set faith goals during down times
Set limits to your worldliness (spending, eating, etc)
All these practicals can be used at anytime of year.
