What is it, Doubt?

Doubt is
a lack of confidence: DISTRUST 〈has doubts about his abilities〉
So basically what doubt is not believing or not having confidence in something. For example in our everyday lives we may doubt that we will do good on a test. When we do doubt we usually wont do good because we have that mindset. It the same with sports at my school a lot of people say” We won’t win the game today”, its the same with college football. Like when the Lions lose we probably say ”Oh! Why again? We lost I can’t believe it. Come on PLEASE win.”.
Some things we doubt are:
Wining at something
Trust
Power
And etc...
The biggest one being
GOD
We do it in are every day lives all of the time. Sometimes even when we don’t mean it, like when we want something and we ask god for it then he doesn't give us it. Then we think that he is not real or ether doesn't want to give it to us because he does not have that power. But all things we can doubt God for are all things from the devil. When we think those things we have to pray and make them things believing God.
Even people that new god doubt him. Some examples of those doubting their effectiveness to serve god are:
Moses
In, Exodus Chapter 3, Verses 9-14 in The Message Bible
The Message Chapter 3

9–10  “The Israelite cry for help has come to me, and I’ve seen for myself how cruelly they’re being treated by the Egyptians. It’s time for you to go back: I’m sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the People of Israel, out of Egypt.”

11  Moses answered God, “But why me? What makes you think that I could ever go to Pharaoh and lead the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

12  “I’ll be with you,” God said. “And this will be the proof that I am the one who sent you: When you have brought my people out of Egypt, you will worship God right here at this very mountain.”

13  Then Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the People of Israel and I tell them, ‘The God of your fathers sent me to you’; and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ What do I tell them?”

14  God said to Moses, “I-AM-WHO-I-AM. Tell the People of Israel, ‘I-AM sent me to you.’ ”

Basically here he doesn't want to go and he finally gave in.
2. Gideon
In, Judges Chapter 6, Verses 13-16 in The Message Bible
The Message Chapter 6

13  Gideon replied, “With me, my master? If GOD is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all the miracle-wonders our parents and grandparents told us about, telling us, ‘Didn’t GOD deliver us from Egypt?’ The fact is, GOD has nothing to do with us—he has turned us over to Midian.”

14  But GOD faced him directly: “Go in this strength that is yours. Save Israel from Midian. Haven’t I just sent you?”

15  Gideon said to him, “Me, my master? How and with what could I ever save Israel? Look at me. My clan’s the weakest in Manasseh and I’m the runt of the litter.”

16  GOD said to him, “I’ll be with you. Believe me, you’ll defeat Midian as one man.”

In
In this passage, they are going to fight and they are doubting God. And of course they give in because God has that affect.
So remember we can always be the other side of doubtful, which is faithful.

What is it, Faith?

Faith is
a belief and trust in and loyalty to God: TRUSTING〈has beliefs about something〉
What faith is trusting or believing in something strongly. An example is, when we believe in God and we trust what he has for us.
Romans 4:20
The Message Chapter 4

He didn’t tiptoe around God’s promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God, sure that God would make good on what he had said.

Like the example from doubt, if we will ask God for a good grade on the upcoming test. We will probably do good on the test because we have a good mindset. Having these kind of mindsets in God will lead into faith. Also when we ask God for something we want and we don’t get it. Just say thank you anyways and leave that problem be. Ask God to make that problems or any problems future better. Its just like what
1 Timothy 6:12
The Message Chapter 6

Run hard and fast in the faith. Seize the eternal life, the life you were called to, the life you so fervently embraced in the presence of so many witnesses.

Some examples of people in the bibles faith:
Abraham
In, Genesis Chapter 22, Verses 1-13 in The Message Bible
The Message Chapter 22

22 After all this, God tested Abraham. God said, “Abraham!”

“Yes?” answered Abraham. “I’m listening.”

2  He said, “Take your dear son Isaac whom you love and go to the land of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I’ll point out to you.”

3–5  Abraham got up early in the morning and saddled his donkey. He took two of his young servants and his son Isaac. He had split wood for the burnt offering. He set out for the place God had directed him. On the third day he looked up and saw the place in the distance. Abraham told his two young servants, “Stay here with the donkey. The boy and I are going over there to worship; then we’ll come back to you.”

6  Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and gave it to Isaac his son to carry. He carried the flint and the knife. The two of them went off together.

7  Isaac said to Abraham his father, “Father?”

“Yes, my son.”

“We have flint and wood, but where’s the sheep for the burnt offering?”

8  Abraham said, “Son, God will see to it that there’s a sheep for the burnt offering.” And they kept on walking together.

9–10  They arrived at the place to which God had directed him. Abraham built an altar. He laid out the wood. Then he tied up Isaac and laid him on the wood. Abraham reached out and took the knife to kill his son.

11  Just then an angel of GOD called to him out of Heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!”

“Yes, I’m listening.”

12  “Don’t lay a hand on that boy! Don’t touch him! Now I know how fearlessly you fear God; you didn’t hesitate to place your son, your dear son, on the altar for me.”

13  Abraham looked up. He saw a ram caught by its horns in the thicket. Abraham took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son

So God tested Abraham’s faith in he came out to be faithful.
2. A David’s Psalm
2.
In, Psalm Chapter 11 in The Message Bible
The Message Psalm 11

1–3  11 I’ve already run for dear life

straight to the arms of GOD.

So why would I run away now

when you say,

“Run to the mountains; the evil

bows are bent, the wicked arrows

Aimed to shoot under cover of darkness

at every heart open to God.

The bottom’s dropped out of the country;

good people don’t have a chance”?

4–6  But GOD hasn’t moved to the mountains;

his holy address hasn’t changed.

He’s in charge, as always, his eyes

taking everything in, his eyelids

Unblinking, examining Adam’s unruly brood

inside and out, not missing a thing.

He tests the good and the bad alike;

if anyone cheats, God’s outraged.

Fail the test and you’re out,

out in a hail of firestones,

Drinking from a canteen

filled with hot desert wind.

7  GOD’s business is putting things right;

he loves getting the lines straight,

Setting us straight. Once we’re standing tall,

we can look him straight in the eye.

This is telling us about faith.
So right now I want everybody to get a piece of paper and a pencil. Go find a spot in the room away from others.

How am I doubting you?
How am I faithful to you?
How can I be more faithful to you?
