Introduction:

Intro the FCF, the text gives us two women, two sons and suggests one is a child of promise, and the other is not. For us this is important because we want to know, where to we fit in.

1.) Hagar did not have faith in God’s promise!

Slave women, Slave son, Ishmael, Covenant from Mount Sinai, Hagar, Present Jerusalem
-10 years of waiting… still no child
-Rather than waiting they took action

2) Sarah had faith in God’s promise!

Free women, Free son, Isaac, Sarah, Jerusalem above
-

3) SRP, what does this mean for me?

Expect Persecution
Anticipate Inheritance
Stand Firm
