HOW CAN I SAY THANKS

THANKS IS IN ORDER
S IN ORDER
I”m glad that Thanksgiving Day still exists in the United States of America because it shouts to the world that “Thanks is in order” and “All Thanks points to God alone.” The unfortunate truth is that the postmodern world in which we reside is almost completely devoid of any sense of gratitude. The Apostle Paul said the pervasive presence of ingratitude would evidence of the reality of the last days.
See
2 Timothy 3:1–2 NASB95
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
Many people are in a place where they are mad at God instead of grateful to Him because of some hurt that they feel He inflicted upon them. Because things didn’t work out the way that they wanted it to; because He didn’t heal that loved one. it’s like...

Marie Paule Thielle of Metz, France, who is only 3 years old, has received the Bronze Medal for “an act of courage and dangerous sacrifice.” But the one she rescued does not like her. The story:

When Marie’s playmate, two-year-old Denis fell into the municipal pool, she grabbed him by the hair and held his head out of the water until her screams for help were answered. Said Marie: “He doesn’t like me now because it hurt when I pulled his hair.”

Psalm 119:67 NASB95
Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.
While it should not surprise us that this attitude dominants secular culture, it should concern us when it comes to the POG. Because if anybody ought to know “to say “Thanks”, it ought to be the people of God. The psalmist reminds us of this fact in
Psalm 107:1–3 NASB95
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary And gathered from the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.
Psalm 103:1–2 NASB95
Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits;
It is should be abundantly clear that Thanks is in Order…But the Question looming over our heads tonight is “How do we say thanks?” The text this evening offers a few suggestions…You are interested aren’t you?

Make a joyful noise

Serve the Lord with gladness

Come before His presence with singing

Psalm 108:2 NASB95

Psalm 103:4 NASB95
Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;

We are His people (the sheep of His pasture)

Enter into
