Theme: Moses' righteous anger. Moses is channeling not only the heartbeat of God, but the battle that he must face on both sides as an intermediary too. On one side, he must glorify the holy God before the people and on the other side, he has to recover and save a people before a holy God. All of this points to Jesus, the greater Moses, who will fight both for the Father's glory and for our holiness that we might have an authentic relationship with God: by completing the law, by destroying my idols, by bringing me to life, by standing for me before God.
