The Squeezing of Dan
The Squeezing of Dan
In those days there was no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for unto that day all their inheritance had not fallen unto them among the tribes of Israel.
The area God gave to Dan was big enough
And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
there was a problem
a lot of their inheritance still unclaimed
The Amorites pressed the descendants of Dan to the hill country, and they did not allow them to come down to the plain;
the Canaanites were still possessing the land
so they sent out spies to search for another
What is the “Promised Land” representing to a Christian?
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
spiritual blessings are ours to posses..
some people live a very impoverished christian life
search for ungodly ways to live
the foundation of society, the family is broken
Corruption in the home will spread into society
the Godly workers are out to make a profit
now the people were being squeezed by satan
instead of having all that God wants them to have, they sin

Dan Finds His Own Place
V 2-6 Came to Micah’s house asked for Gods guidance
go God is with you
So they set up for themselves the carved divine image that Micah had made, all the days that the house of God was in Shiloh.
if they were to go shiloh to inquire of God
they would have been told the truth - go home and claim your territory
But they went to a ear tickler ‘Off you go and God be with you’.
Your prophets had a vision for you, false and worthless; they have not exposed your sin, to restore your fortune; they have seen oracles for you, false and misleading.
V 7 found a people in a very peaceful valley, living in peace
V 27 killed them, burn the city, move in

Idol worship V 30
And the king had decided, so he made two golden calves and he said to them, “You have been going up to Jerusalem long enough; here are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.” He put one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. This thing became a sin, and the people walked before the one as far as Dan.
Rev 7 4-14
Conclusion
Opening Up Judges Location, Location, Location! (vv. 1–31)
The Puritan Thomas Watson wrote, ‘Providence should be the Christian’s diary but never his Bible.’21 We must not use circumstances to gauge whether we are doing the right thing; it is very easy to interpret them in such a way as to convince ourselves that we are doing what God wants of us, when that may not be the case.
God’s authority only comes from His word
there a lot of churches an people doing well
telling people what they want to hear
satan wants us to believe that, if its going well it must be from God
it appeared to be well with Dan
found new territory
room to expand, live in peace
the country’s worship came to Dan
with the worship came money to spend the day
Isn't God great?
people are dying going to hell because they were told a lie
churches and pastors are getting rich expounding the lie
does not matter how many body's are in their wake
Be careful with what you do does it lign up with God’s word
