As we look this evening at the water and the blood. We're going to see from verse number 6 this truth or reality for us this evening. First John chapter number five. Let's pick up a reading inverse. Minori Down 2 verse 9. I'll put our Focus really this evening just on the beginning of verse number 6, but we need to set the context for our conversation this evening as we come around the Lord's table together. First one says whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. That salvation if you want it in its simplest form. That's it. Whosoever believeth that Jesus that is Christ came and he came to fulfill the work of the Messiah. The Redemption of mankind is born of God and everyone that loveth him that begat love with him. Also that has been got nothing by this. We know that we love the children of God when we love God and keep his Commandments for this is the love of God that we keep his Commandments and his Commandments are not Grievous.

For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world in this is the victory that overcometh the world. Even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world but but he that believeth that Jesus is the son of God what we find in these first 5 versus is the establishment of who a Believer is and what that believer has in Jesus Christ as a born again Christian and that's the term that we use in John uses it specifically as John wrote force in John 3. When Jesus speaking to Nicodemus said you must be born again. We find it this morning again status brings with it victory in verses 1 through 4, and this is a wonderful truth, but this is not our message this evening. We come into verse number 6 is this is he that came by water? And blood even Jesus Christ not by water only but by water and blood and it is the spirit that beareth witness because the spirit is 2 / there are three that bear record in heaven the Father the word and the Holy Ghost and these three are one or you might say completely United. This is the Triune verse of the Bible it explaining and establishing the try Unity of the godhead each individual persons each equal in their personhood verse 8 in there are three that bear witness in the Earth the spirit and the water and the blood in these three agree in one if we receive the witness of men the witness of God is greater for this is the witness of God, which he has testified of his son Father in Heaven Help Us this evening as we dive into the word of God. Lourdes we look at this concept given to us of Christ coming by water and by Blood it will help us as we will see by the close of the message to understand how we come by Blood and by water back to him help us. I pray this evening in Jesus name. Amen. Verses 7 8 and 9 are well, priest on verses of scripture. I noted verses 1 through 5 in the great true that they give to us but we find that God's plan in versus 7 8 9 is an airtight plan. It meets and exceeds any judicial scrutiny in a court of law that could ever come against it for John in writing this he had not just the legal minds of the Roman and Greek empires in their history in mind, but he had in mind the history of the Jews in other words. We know those from Deuteronomy that in the mouth of two or three Witnesses a thing as established in Jewish law until we find that the establishment of the word is built upon the Lord Jesus Christ upon the father who is in heaven and upon the holy spirit all of them. We're told here bear record to who are the true sons of God. And while there's a great lesson in the great security of this. This isn't our lesson tonight one commentator. However, this is free preaching tonight. You didn't know you were going to get free preaching but here it is said this about versus 789 throughout the scripture. The father is seen as the great adversary of the world. The holy spirit is depicted as being the great enemy of The Flash and the Sun as being the foe of Satan. So let the world the flash or the Devil Rays a voice against us and singly or altic singularly or all together. They do not stand a chance each member of the Triune godhead is ready to take up our case and our cause That is good Bible preaching. It's a good lesson for us. But that's not our lesson tonight. We came tonight to look at the water and the blood will we find inverse number 6 is really a deep truth in a simple statement as we have done in the past. It is good for us to look back and to study where the context of these statements come from John give to his hear both water and blood look at it. First number 6 and see what it says. This is he that came by water and blood even Jesus Christ not by water only water and blood now. There's a lot of practical truth. There's a lot of principle truth and there's a lot of prophetic truth. But let me say to you this evening. We're going to look more towards the Practical and some of the principal Jesus came by by water in a multitude of ways. I wanted to just go back if you have your Bibles tonight and turned Back to the Gospel of John and let us consider many of the ways that John and his recording of the events of Jesus's life gives to us where Christ himself interacts with water. What we find here is not in essence or in particular a birth of Jesus Christ by water in the blood which we would find in John chapter 3 when Jesus said to Nicodemus says you have to be born of water and of spirit. This is not that indication. This is not that particular instance or teaching and that is another lesson for another day of the water and the spirit for this it is very practical. We find Jesus in his Earthly Ministry comes and fulfills in John chapter 1 and then going forward the fact that he came and taught by and through the principle of water and he too so his own shed blood is in our midst or in our teaching of the context. Mind if we pick up in John chapter one back in the Gospel of John and chapter 1. The account of John the Baptist encountering Jesus and so is we consider the water? We we find first his coming by water that he is the water of identification in verse number 29. It begins really in verse 19 where John is answering those who are asking him if he the the Christ. Is he the coming Messiah he denies that but foreshadows the one who would come as a good 4Runner should and in verse 29 the Bible says and we picked up our reading there the next day John. See if Jesus coming under him and say it Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Now. What is John doing? John is baptizing people. In fact, it tells us that in the verses that precede this statement. John is out and he is baptizing where there is much water. And in that process we find it. Jesus comes to John what we find in this water and particularly the water that teases into entered into is a water of identification. He identified and obeyed the will of the father but in being baptized he identified with you and I He understood that while he didn't need the repentance of John he needed to be there and to see this work done it if you will and indulge me tonight, we can do a little bit of turning. This is what we do. When we do edification type preaching instructive type preaching Sunday mornings are exhortation tonight. You're going to be turning a lot with me as we see it Matthew chapter 3 go back there and want to come back to John one and we will go back to First John chapter 5. I promise. Not to worry, it's all in the same book.

John is saying Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world wolf. What is happening at this time? What is the significance of the water? That is here by what way is Jesus coming by the water. He's coming with a purpose and that purpose is to identify with us verse 13 of Matthew 3. The Bible says this then come of Jesus From Galilee to be baptized of him, but John for baiting him saying I I have need to be baptized of the and comes down to me Jesus answering sudden to him suffer it or allow it to be so now for this it becometh us now. That's an interesting statement. Is it not

Who is the US the disciples? Who is the office the Triune God Jesus Christ as the manifestation of the father and the spirit of the godhead here in fleshgod become flushed says it become is stupid feel. Alright dismiss. It is my job to identify with Mankind and through this baptism the water of identification. It's an important step for me to take It's interesting John. The Baptist doesn't hesitate hesitate then he suffered him. All right. Who is Jesus? And Jesus when he was baptized went up straight way out of the water in low, the heavens were opened unto him and he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting up on him and low a voice from Heaven saying this is my beloved Son in whom I am. Well, please go back now to John chapter 1 and will pick up our reading and verse number 30 the Bible continues this is he of whom I said after he come with a man, which is preferred before me for he was before me. John understood who Jesus was and he understood what he was up to. John that does not record the event of the statement from heaven, but John records Jesus going to John the Baptist to have this done. John the Baptist continues and John the Apostle recorded and I knew him not in verse 31, but that he should be made manifest to Israel. Therefore. Am I come baptizing with water and John bear record saying I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove and a boat upon him and I knew him and I knew him not but he that sent me to baptize with water the same setting to me upon whom Thou shalt see the spirit descending and remain the same as he was baptized with the Holy Ghost and I saw and bear record that this is the son of God. When John the Apostle tells us that Jesus comes by water. We understand that he comes by way of the water of identification. But then we find if you go forward to John chapter number 2 and inverse 1 he comes by way of the water of transformation. This is in context of what we're coming to do tonight to community around the Lord's table. You say. Oh, we're not taking of the water tonight friend as you'll see by the time we get to John chapter 19th. What we take up in the cup is the shedding of both his water and his blood for us. It's the blood that pays for us, but it's the water as we're going to see from Ephesians 5 and verse 26 that washes his day by day. It brings us back to that truth of Calvary and the blood that was spilled to Calvary the water of the word and the water that we find here in the word is very important John Chapter 2 and inverse one the Bible says the third day there was a marriage and Tina of Galilee in the mother of Jesus was there now, of course, we know the story they run out of refreshments and drinks for the wedding. And Jesus says to the individual's what? Go fill out those pots with some grapes. How do you say that? He says go fill it up with water.

It is interesting as well that he says to his own mother woman. It's not my time. Now kids. Don't talk to your mom's that way. He was speaking as the Son of God. Not the son of Mary in that moment as we consider it though. It is good for us to understand that while the baptism shows a water of identification. He came by way of this miracle of his own free will and choice but also knowing providentially that it would come and so when the moment arrives he says to go get some pot and fill them with water, Reverse number 7 we pick up our reading Jesus say it and then fill the water pots with water and they fill them up to the brim praise the Lord for obedient people and he saith unto them draw out now and bear end of the governor of the feast and they Barrett's when the ruler of the feast had Taste of the water that was made wine and do not wins it was or where it came from. But the service was Drew the water new the governor of the feast called the bridegroom and save them him every man at the beginning of set for the good wine and when men have well drunk than that, which is worst, but thou has kept the best or the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee and manifested forth his glory and his disciples believed on him. Why did they believe on him? Because by water he demonstrated the power of transformation, what would come when you have faith and believe in the very words of Jesus Christ, so we find that he asked to be identified with man. He asked to have transformation done in Chapter 2, but then we find in chapter 4 of John he is the water of satisfaction not just identification of transformation. He is the water of satisfaction turn over to chapter 4

What are we bypassing in John's account? Well the conversation with Nicodemus the most famous verse in all of the Bible John 3 and verse 16th the account of John the Baptist as he Fades from the scene any passes and decreases while the Lord increases we pick up our reading inverse number 13 of chapter 4, who is he with and the answer is the Samaritan woman or the woman at the well, we call her the woman who had been with five men and the man that she was now with was not her husband this individual meets Jesus at the well, I'll person who is living and absolutely dissatisfied like one that was desirous to see better things in her life, but never knowing where to turn to find those better things. The Bible says in verse number 13 that Jesus answered her. He's answering. Her question of verse number 11 where she says has the album Living Water. She's mocking Jesus. She's questioning him. She's a Samaritan. He's a Jew there's no love lost between the two of them. It would be akin to many of our rivalries today. We see it our sporting teams, but even worse in verse 13, Jesus answered and senator who answered under her whosoever. Drink is of this water pointing to the well, she'll thirst again, but whosoever drink of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst man. That is satisfying water. And that is the kind of water you want to drink? Couple years back. It was really popular for athletes to drink Smart Water. This is a lot better than Smart Water. This is God water.

But the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water. In other words, the water of satisfaction that comes into one who has received Christ as their savior is not a well that could ever run dry it. So well that can be constantly drawn from a well of ever springing water. It shall be a well of water springing up into ever lasting life. We find he came by water as well in the Gospel of John as the water of regeneration go over to John chapter number 7 John chapter number 7

Jesus in this particular passage is moving ever closer. It is likely in the midst towards the end of the middle of his ministry towards the Passover week and hit the passion of Christ that we celebrate at East Eastern time or pass over time and we find in John chapter 7 and in verse 37 in the midst of us fees that is going on. It's a significant piece. I'm not take the time to explain it today, but there is a significant fees and if the fees they would take him perform a certain act and they would take the cistern to let the water run down the steps of the the Temple Mount there in and it would be a foreshadowing of the coming of the Messiah the Savior God in his kingdom. We find at the very last day of the feast in verse 37 in the last day that great day of the feast Jesus stood and cried for the Edward sometime can preach a wonderful message. He has from this particular verse but the truth is at the end of this Feast there was a great shouting that would happen and as they would do so they were all looking for the one who would be the Messiah and it is at this precise moment. The Jesus steps out and says the following statement If any man thirst let him come to me and drink The symbolism is Ritz. The water has been dumped that is pouring cascading down the steps and Jesus steps out in the mist and says if you're thirsty come to me. First 38 he that believeth on me as the scripture has said out of his belly shall flow rivers of Living Water regeneration cuz friend that is a picture of the indwelling of the holy spirit of God when the spirit indwells you that Spirit flows out of you you become a well that now has a river that runs from it. So wonderful, wonderful pictures throughout the scripture. So when the Apostle John says to us in first John chapter 5 in verse 6 that he came by water and by Blood it's not that complicated for us to understand that the Apostle John noted and paid attention to and learn from the words of Jesus. He understood that Jesus Christ was the water that satisfy that sold that would come to him.

There's little doubt that he came by water. But we also note from 1st John 5 in verse 6 that he came by Blood. What does that mean? Well blood flowed in the veins of Jesus. I know that's shocking to some or actually none in here this evening, but think of the blood that flowed within Jesus think of that blood for just a moment. Not a drop of Joseph blood was in Jesus's blood. Or he was not his father Luke chapter 1 verse 35 tells us how the process happened. Mary was overshadowed and the Egg was fertilized by the holy spirit of God Luke 1 verses 35 and 36. Tell us By the way, it's very interesting. If any of you know, the process of a baby being born and every mother in here should know that the baby in the womb has not a drop of Mama's blood. That's how a baby can have a different blood type from its own mother. In other words. When we think of the blood the baby in the womb of Mary did not have a drop of her blood. In fact, he had his own blood just like every child that has ever been born has their own blood. The blood that flows through the veins and arteries of a babe and its mother's room is not its mother's blood. It's the babies on only after the embryo has been impregnated does the baby's blood like any other cell in the body begin to develop not one drop of blood passes from the mother to the child in the umbilical cord. There is nourishment and there is other things that are passed for the baby to growth but it's not blood it's an interesting truth, but it's also distinguishing mark imagine what the blood type of Jesus was What is the most rare form of blood I probably should have looked this up. Oh negative O positive. Oh, no, I don't know what it is, but it's something like that. Can you imagine that Jesus probably had the most rare of the most rare because as Peter told us as we read this morning in 1st Peter 1 verse 18 and 19. It was the precious blood of Jesus. It was unique blood. It was his blood it wasn't made up. It wasn't artificial, but it was real and it was red and it flowed from him for you. And I Jesus by the way, when we consider the blood that flowed in his veins and that flowed from him to pay for your sins in mine began to shed that blood in Luke 22 in verse 44 In The Garden of Gethsemane.

They are there completing their work in Bethany heading into that Upper Room in the Betrayal in the passion week was about to begin and Jesus is asking them to pray and as he does so it says he goes the little away and he begins to pray and the prayer is so Earnest in so deep that they are great drops of blood the first Blood shed for you was not at the hand of a soldier who was that at the end of a whip and it wasn't from a nail on the cross. It was on a bended-knee and Garden of Gethsemane for you and I That was the first drop of blood shed. The very interesting thing. rustic consider this

We find at the end of John's gospel account before excuse me, just after Jesus has cried. It is finished on the cross of Calvary in Jesus crucifixion the reality of water and blood and Jesus coming by water and blood are demonstrated. Physically when its side is pierced take your Bibles and during the John chapter number 19.

If I'm a and I'm going to make a rather bold statement at this point John in writing John 19 is careful to present the order and sequence by which we are saved. And then we are Sanctified blood and water when we come to First John chapter number 5 we find he's riding to believers who should be Sanctified water who remember their salvation the blood. So we come to verse 32 of John chapter 19 and we find then came to soldiers and break the legs of the first and the other which was crucified with him. They are taking care of the two thieves who are still alive, but when they come to Jesus the Bible says to that says this but when they came to Jesus and saw that he was dead already. They break down his legs. Jesus did not die because of the Cross of Calvary he died because he laid down his life for you and I What author I read after it does last week said this Jesus died of a broken heart.

His heart was broken over the wickedness and a weight of sin that was placed upon him. But here's where the truth comes to for our passage this night in 1st John 5 and 6 but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side and forth with Kane the route what? water water

blood and water

the Lamb of God laid there ready to have his blood spilled but blood and water both poured out. Why? Well, I think we can understand if we know the medical sends his heart was broken from the weariness that had come up on him. I had to look this up, but You know around your heart there is a fluid called a pericardial fluid. You know what it does. Because you're Chambers beat different from each other. There is an encasement that goes around them to make sure that there's not friction that would add to heat within your body. But rather they can beat and all of it works seamlessly together. You say you don't sound like a doctor. I'm not I'm not going to do surgery on anybody this week. Simply said there's pericardial fluid that is around our heart and when they pierced the side of Jesus the spear pierced his heart in that way so that what came out was both the fluid around his heart and the blood that was within his heart. It's a very interesting thing because if it had come out from any other place, it would have come out into sections, but because it came out or or two separate entities, but because it came out from the heart itself, it came out together and it says that it flowed out together.

It is an amazing thing to think of. when we consider the blood and the water

there is a connected reality finally this evening for the believer in considering the water in the blood that great old hymn Rock of Ages and its first stanza says this Rock of Ages cleft for me. Let me hide myself and leaf let the water and the blood from the wounded side which flowed be of sin the what double cure save from wrath. That's the blood. And make me pure that's the water. How do you know this pastor me? You just always say these things and I'm not sure if it's really real and maybe you're making too much out of John statement of the coming by water and coming by Blood and the blood in the water pouring out. Maybe it was just a symbolism or maybe it was just some kind of weird picture maybe was what he was confused about and didn't know what if you will take your Bibles and turn back to Exodus 20:7 is we close this evening?

the Old Testament Tabernacle in the Old Testament Temple the Tabernacle looks like this. As you would come to it within the camp. It would be set up now. I don't think it looks like a cartoon picture drawn on the wall. But I think it looks something similar to this as they would come to it. They would be a small or tent inside of a curtain that would surround the entire area as you would come to it. You would find that as you came through that entrance gate into the courtyard. You would come first the bronze or the Brazen Altar and then to the bronze labor before you could ever enter into the first of the holies.

The very interesting thing to be sure to understand this process that when a person and Israel who needed to be redeemed on that high and holy day of atonement each year, you have to come in and they would have to come to the bronze altar first, but what happened at the altar? Sacrifice was made. Was the sacrifice you throwing up your wallet on to there in letting them burn up your money? No. What was on that alter was something that had its blood shed? Its throat slit it was murdered. It was killed. It was taken because of you. When you walked into that place and every priest and every levite would understand it. They would know that this altar was significant. In fact, it's form dominated the Tabernacles Courtyards. It was large its function dominated the countryside adjacent to the Tabernacle for there would be goats and cows or heifers. They would be turtle doves and all sorts of animals that were waiting to be slaughtered and have its Bloodshed for each individual on that bronze altar. It was a place that would make your tongue at the stomach turn. It was a disgusting place.

Was smelly and gross. No one would come to it's a boy. I just love hanging out with my friends alter. This is a great place to be.

May I say to you just as that alter would dominate your vision as you walked into those Gates into the presence of where God would reside so to Christ on the cross dominates the activities of every believer here this evening.

When you come into His presence in Fred, I hope you do it on a Monday Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday basis when you come into His presence, you do not come in by the back gate. You coming by one gate and it always brings you first to the cross. What do we have a time of communion? It's not just because 6 weeks or 4 weeks or 5 weeks have gone by in goodness gracious. We got to punch something on the card and do it again. No, it's so that we can be reminded collectively as a people that there's a cross that we come to. It is across that we come by. It's by the blood.

What author said this way? The altar was the first thing you came to entering the holy of holies. It was the entry point without the sacrifice. It was pointless to come. So to the Cross of Christ and at the entrance to Salvation got the Salvation God has provided for mankind. He goes on to say as soon as it is relay team through the colorful gate of the Court. He was faced with the bronze altar the Hebrew worship. Where was reminded continually think God must be approached to a blood sacrifice. God always meet people at the cross or at the place of shed blood. He always meet us there.

Coming to Christ on the cross is the first step in the Redemption of the believer. Without the shedding of blood were told in Hebrews. There is no remission of sin.

It is also very interesting that if you study carefully Leviticus 1 through 7, you will find there's a vast array Dan assortment of offerings that are to be made but here is the One Singular truth of all of those offerings no matter what they are for. Blood was shed. And it was on the altar. What does that teach the New Testament think that means every time we come for a peace offering or every time we come for Fellowship for every time we come for consecration for every time we coming to Thanksgiving offer every time we come to him. We come by way of the Cross by way of the blood. Jesus came by water and blood and we come by Blood and water to him. For the next thing that we see in the picture is the bronze Laver. Not the bronze lever the bronze Laver. It is interesting if you study and it in Exodus 20:7, if you turn they are good for you. I'm sorry. I didn't go there time is pressing me forward here, but you can read it. And that's the bronze altar of burnt offering is offered in Exodus 31 verses 18 and following you will find the bronze labor. These are the two that stand outside of the Holy place. By the way, you don't get into Holiness without going through these two

Couple weeks from now the next time we have communion. I'm going to preach on all of these things. And so I'm trying not to be too in-depth this evening. Simply to say this the water in the blood are found here by entering blood and water feel what they did at the labor. They watch themselves. They clean themselves up. They got all of all of the the dirt in the grime and stand all of the smells of the burnt offering all of the things that would have been attached to them from this world all the things that would have been disgusting or or things. That would have been an affront to God.

They wash themselves clean through at this particular labor. It is certainly an interesting truth to be sure as we consider it. The labor shows us that the Christian must remain pure while he walks through a sinful world.

There is a truth or a exit is 30 vs. 19 and 20. I'll read them say this for Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands in their feet. They're at when they go into the Tabernacle of the congregation they show wash with water and that they die not or when they come near to the altar to minister to Burnt offering made by fire under the Lord in other words to offer to God and they come into His presence there needed to be a cleansing of who you are. How do we get cleansed in this present World Paul writes it for his by saying and Ephesians 5 and verse 26. It is by the washing of the water of the word. Jesus Christ The Living Word washes us clean through we might say this way. There's a lot of symbolism in the water. Lot of things that Christ accomplished the believer is symbolically washed in their baptism continually washed in their Bible study and perpetually washed to the filling of the Holy Spirit and his conviction. All of these are Waters that flow from Christ Our Savior. We might even say it this way as we wind down this evening a dirty Christian will be taken and Washed by the Lord if he doesn't wash himself.

If the priest casually walked into the holy place without stopping at the labor to wash himself and a cleanse himself. He just walked into the holy Fenton decided to walk into the holy of holies friend. It was a bad day for him because because

and yet so many Christians think wow. I'm in trouble. Let me go right into God's presence was so we can boldly come into His presence, but we come boldly by the blood and then by the water into his presence.

The nation of Israel time and time again was to come back to God through offering sacrifices and remembering God's Deliverance God's Direction and God's ultimate Delight in them.

If you don't wash yourself God will wash you Hebrews chapter 11 is filled with such truth or skinny have chapter 11 chapter 12 chapter 11 still the faithful people chapter 12 is filled with this truth that if you don't cleanse yourself God will chasing you.

You will turn over with me to 1st Corinthians chapter 11 and will bring it to a close with this thought.

as we consider Christians who approach God in a casual unclean way the Apostle Paul Saul just a thing in the Church of Corinth.

And after he's done going through the formalities and I don't mean that in a dead or stodgy sins but in the ways in which we participate or practice the Lord's Supper, he and some of their casual nature they are coming by the altar but they're not stopping by the labor. They're claiming the blood but they're not washing in the word.

You pick up our reading in verse 28 delete a man examine himself and still let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup for he that eateth and drinking unworthily eat and drink is what damnation sounds like the high priest entering into the holiest of holies unprepared.

Damnation to himself not Discerning the Lord's body. By the way Discerning the Lord's body here in context memes the bread and the cup the broken body and the shed blood but I would also say to you considering the Lord's body means the blood and the water that was shed on that crucifixion day. And what is the result of this? Remember I said dirty Christians are going to be cleaned up either by God's word or by God's judgment and chastening. Verse number 34 this cause many are weak and sickly among you and Minnie sleep now everyone that sick is not because they're in sin. That's not what Paula saying he's saying there are some contextually from this who are trying to approach me on a regular basis without having a Sanctified set apart. Holy lifestyle clean through the word of God. You trying to come into my presence? First 31 and 32 for if we judge ourselves, we should not be judging other words, you know your heart. Will Pastor I think it's your job to come down and tell me if I'm worthy to take that is a dangerous view of the scripture.

The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked only the pastor can know it.

Who can know it the answer is God knows it. That's why we come to his word and say God. Is there a sin in my life that I'm hiding? Is there a sin in my life? I don't want to deal with is there someone that I've wronged that is? Needing to be taken care of before I partake before I come into this. Holy time with you.

But verse 32 when we are judged. In other words when it comes externally we are chasing of the Lord that we should not be condemned with the world. In other words. He chastens us now so that we don't so that we have the confidence to know that we are saved and not still of the world.

John's letter in John 1st. John 5 in verse 6 reminds us that buy water and by Blood Jesus came.

And it's by the blood and the water that we in return come back to him. It's a commitment. It's something we must do its a Discerning element of the Christian Life as we've seen in 1st Corinthians chapter 11, and may I say to you it is interesting to note the end of verse 6 in 1st John 5 says this the spirit testifies and Witnesses of the Sun. He knows what the sun did by the way, he also knows what the sons of God do and the daughters of God cuz we come to a time this evening to commemorate the Lord's supper. And remember until he comes I would urge those of the church family be mindful of these thing know what it is that you're engaging in. Is it a scary time pastor at the time of remembrance and rejoicing but it's every time that Hebrew individual that worshipper would enter into that gate and stand at that alter. It was a gruesome thought it was difficult to see that go through that land where that heifer or if those dubs or whatever being sacrificed for you.
