Thanksgiving Week

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened on thanksgiving to you?
One of worst for me was when I first started smoking turkeys I put a wrong seasoning on it. We were at my moms that weekend so I cooked the turkey early. When we started to warm up the turkey I thought that one of the dogs has used the rest room. Come to find out it wasn’t the dogs, it was my turkey that smelling.
Or what about when your child sends you a text and asked you how long it takes to cook a 25ibs turkey in the oven.
I learned a lesson that weekend.
We all have great stories we can share, and I really hope that you guys have a lot of fun this week with families and friends.

The Standard of Sharing

Luke 12:48 NLT
But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
How much have you been given in your life?
What about the relationship with Jesus that we have?
We have been saved from hell, we have been given LIFE on this earth, God has delivered us from our past, He teaches us and helps us grow.
We have been given so much from God.
Jesus said what you have been given some then we have a responsibility to do something with it.
Matthew 10:8 NLT
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
Since we have been given so much, how much are we giving out.

Jesus gave us a commission

Mark 16:15 NLT
And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.
Jesus have given us a commission to go out and preach the good news.
Do we understand the commission?
Are we practicing it?
I can remember being so scared to talk to people about Jesus, but I know that I need to.

The Holy Spirit will give you Boldness

Acts 4:23–31 NLT
As soon as they were freed, Peter and John returned to the other believers and told them what the leading priests and elders had said. When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— you spoke long ago by the Holy Spirit through our ancestor David, your servant, saying, ‘Why were the nations so angry? Why did they waste their time with futile plans? The kings of the earth prepared for battle; the rulers gathered together against the Lord and against his Messiah.’ “In fact, this has happened here in this very city! For Herod Antipas, Pontius Pilate the governor, the Gentiles, and the people of Israel were all united against Jesus, your holy servant, whom you anointed. But everything they did was determined beforehand according to your will. And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
Acts 4;
If they prayed for boldness then we can pray for boldness!
We need to recieved boldness to share what good God has done in us.
If you desire boldness in your life come! Lets ask the Father just like they did.
