Who is not going to be in the Kingdom?

Oprah Winfrey said in a now famous segment on her show, “There are millions of ways to live and millions of ways to get to God, or Heaven, or the light or whatever you call it. “

“There can possibly be only one way to Heaven.”

About 15 years ago, Carlton Peterson, the minister of the largest Pentecostal church Tulsa, OK had the revelation that no one would be excluded from Heaven.

And if you ask the average person if they are going to go to heaven, they will likely tell you, “I hope so.”

“I’m basically a good person.”

The Chromies - Memorial service. Read that poem that implied that they were all in Heaven riding. That may be true, I didn’t know them personally, but is the biker world deceived?

Rather than take Oprah’s word for it, I think it best that we look at what the bible says.

Who thinks they will spend eternity

Two reasons for asking this question.

So we can answer that question for ourselves.

So we can understand where our mission field is.

NOT

1. It is not so we can brag to other people that we are going and they are not.

2. Joke about St. Peter and the Methodist (Party) Banquet (Baptist) and sneaking by the Church of Christ.

3. It is also not so that we can try and shame people to live how we want them to live.

(I believe in the political process. ) I also believe that we should try and leave this world better than we find it. I believe, like Billy Graham said, {The only way to have a better society is to make better men(and women)}

4. Is is not so we can speculate on weather those that have already died are in Heaven or Hell. (Satan will use your fear or guilt to cloud your witness)

Who thinks they will spend eternity in Heaven?

Christ is preparing a place for us and that city will come down from Heaven to the new earth.
