Are you a Wholehearted Christian?
11 Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name.
12 I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore.
13 For great is Your mercy toward me, And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
This psalm is a prayer of Davids
Unite our hearts to reference today.
How many of you have praised God this past week? If so was it Wholeheartedly?
Why should we praise and worship God?
David answered by proclaiming God’s great mercy and deliverance.
Do You Trust God with your whole heart?
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
It’s easy to trust God when everything is going right. But it’s a different story when things are going wrong.
10 Hear the word of the Lord, You rulers of Sodom; Give ear to the law of our God, You people of Gomorrah:
11 “To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord. “I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats.
12 “When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts?
13 Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies— I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.
14 Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them.
15 When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.
16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,
17 Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.
18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.
19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;
20 But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword”; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
Moses instructed us to Love the Lord our God with all our hearts.
4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!
5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.
7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
If we truly love God with our whole hearts our lives will reflect it.
We will talk about Him and His ways all the time.
We will share our faith with others, especially our family.
Even though Israel never stopped being religious people they lost their true love for God.

simply going through the motions won’t get you into heaven.
God is calling out to some of us today...”Come back to your first love”
Jesus quoted Isaiah in the New Testament
Matt Redman, the famous christian singer and songwriter had an encounter that lead him to write the song “Heart Of Worship” that we ended our worship music with today.
His pastor Mike Pilavachi, asked, “When you come through the doors on a Sunday, what are you bringing as your offering to God?”
His Pastor then decided to strip everything away, all instruments and sound gear.
It was a little awkward at first but then people started examining their motives in worship and the power of God begin to fall as His children took their eyes off of what they thought worship should be and back onto the heart of God.
7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.
9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”
10 When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand:
11 Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”
Jesus said that some people worship in vain.

We should take our eyes off of where and what we worship and put our eyes on Who and How we worship.
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
John 4:
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
“The heart of worship is not music and song, but heads and hearts in joyful awe of the real Jesus.”
