Outline

Main Idea: God provides hope in the midst of our hopelessness by sovereignly making a way for us to come home.
Even when we are unfaithful to God, He is working to restore a people to Himself. (v. 1-5)
the reason for our hope is God’s faithfulness to His people
the reason for our hope is God’s love that draws us to Himself and will not let us go
God provides hope at just the right moment.
Even in our deepest struggles, God brings hope at the right moment. (v. 6-18)
Hope in a God who blesses (v. 6)
Hope in a friend who clings (v. 16-19)
Even in our emptiness, God seeks to fill us with His Fullness. (v. 19-22)
We must be emptied in order to be filled
