Thought Betrayal

I want to pick up from some of the scriptures at that Pastor Jan was talking about last week and Apostle bill is talking about the week before I'm just did Lord just keeps reminding me of this this morning bless the Lord. Oh my soul and all that is within me praise His. Holy name say that with me bless the Lord. Oh my soul and all that is within me. He see what you're doing is you're taking authority over everything that's within you and if it's not of God can't praise God. It's got to leave cuz you told it praise His. Holy name. Amen. Amen. God is so good, you know over the last few months. I've learned a very powerful secret from the spirit of God and from the word of God, of course there they reference and they confirm each other and then do you want to know what this secret is? It was really a paradigm shift for me a paradigm shift in my thinking in my living in my Ministry is so important. Do you want to know what that secret is today? Amen? That secret is our thoughts can and will betrayus. Our thoughts can and will betray us some of you might be asking how old is our thoughts betrayus. Battaglia The enemy uses our thoughts he likes to throw stuff in her head. He can't read our minds, but he can throw garbage in there. He can throw bad thoughts. He can throw fear. He gets his favorite weapon is fear by the way, right? He can throw that stuff in our head now. We have the opportunity to either take authority over it. Or think on it.

Are you with me this morning? You know what I'm talking about those throught fonts that tend to betray us those spots of condemnation those spots of baby. You're no good. You're no good. Or attitudes just what it all starts right here and it will come out of your mouth and it will come out of your actions and it will betray you are you are you glad you're here this morning? But I'm talk if you if you let it we that's right. Don't get ahead of me dear sister know. It's alright, it's our responsibility. You see this affects every area of Our Lives. It affects our our jobs it affect our homes. Our families are are in our spiritual Walk. We're going to get to some of these things today. Amen. So I'm really glad you're all are here. You know those thoughts those the Woulda Shoulda Coulda is or the but what if Write those kind of thoughts or again the rotten thoughts of condemnation, you know you dirty you you know, what you did last night. You're just a dirty rotten. You know what you did 5 years ago. You know what you did when you were a kid? How could God love those kind of thoughts right? That's all from Satan, right? That's all garbage. Especially if you're a born again Christian. I'm talking to Christians here. We are so wait down church. We are so weighed down by thinking we are so bound up and what someone sold might have said or what someone so might have done or who cares forgive the offense and move on cuz God is God and he turns all that bad stuff that goes on in our lives. He turns it all around for us for our good. Amen. That's why I put the garbage by the back door. Thank God. No, one of the things that I've learned is these types of fear and these types of thinking these thoughts are all based in fear. but what if what is Shoulda Coulda?

Why I made a mistake, I'm damaged goods. It's all based in fear. Remember with fear is Right false evidence appearing real 99% of everything that we human beings fear never comes to happen comes to pass a man and that God has not given us a spirit of fear 2nd Timothy 1:7. He's not given us a spirit of fear. But of power love and a sound mind right? Come on. Are you with me today? Hey men know we should all know cuz I've been hammering the scripture for years and I'm going to continue the hammer it because where we get all kinds of new people in here bless God Amen, but that scripture is Proverbs 18:21. We all should know what that means life and death are in the power of the tongue. Right? And those who love it will what It's fruit, right? We shall know this. Basically what it's saying is we get what we say, right? So here in lies the Trap herein lies the Trap if we speak life we get life. But if we speak death we get there. Hey, man. Where does the tongue? Get its power. from our thoughts that's where our tongue gets his power. It's from our thoughts, you know those thoughts that just won't quit. You know those thoughts that just that keep you up all night long.

Come out of my the only one. Right. I just won't stop and they keep going and they keep going right. That just there like come on shut off brain right those nagging thoughts. You know what I'm talking about right those condemning thoughts those thoughts are recounting maybe even out the people's words that have spoken to you. Those word curses that speak people try to speak into your life. How about name calling?

Hey, man, can I be completely transparent this morning? Please can I can I bear my heart today? This message is better healing for me in many ways. It's based off of what I've been through for quite some time. Over the last several years. In fact, I've had so many people that have come into the church and you know me, I love everybody. We all that's that's that's the nature of God is love. This is a Church of God, and it's full of his love. So if people come in man, I I'm all in man. Welcome. Welcome serve bless you. We love people is so I give my all I hit was sometimes I wear my heart on my sleeve if I hit him right? I wear it all out there. Some stay some go but man, it's like don't go. I pour myself into people I invest in people I empty myself. I've emptied my life. I put everything on the line for the gospel message into part God's power and his love and his anointing in the people's lives and when they go the Terrace

I'm learning not to take that personal. But sometimes some have left and they've they've slandered my good name. They slandered the good name of this church. No, I've got I got to say I've got a clean conscience praise God, but it still hurts. Amen. It's kind of like sometimes it's kind of like a a Long Blade that's been run through my back and repierce is my heart and comes out the front, you know, and I can't grab it. I can't do anything right? Sometimes it hurts so much. You see when I call you brother when I call you sister. It's because I love you. And I'm giving you my all you earned that and then I don't want our culture's bikers brother-sister mean something it had but I just being transparent this morning because our thoughts can and will betray us. Know all the thoughts and all the emotions that come up with with what I've been talking about this morning. They have caused Great Depression within me and I'm not a depressed guy. Normally. I'm a really happy guy right but they've caused Great Depression over the years and great frustration. many sleepless nights great sorrow and sometimes they desire just to quit. Sometimes I feel like Jesus when he was talking to his disciples and everybody was leaving him and he says you're not going to leave me to Aria. Have you read that in the New Testament many times? I felt like that or Elijah where he says, I'm the only one in God's is no your not Elijah. I got 7000 that have not bowed their need to pay off a man. So this is a message of healing for me. You see all of this is because my thought life.

Thinking about it and just mulling over and chewing all that stuff over these years. Just bring it all up. The enemy is used in he's just kept feeding it. Yep. You're no good. They're all going to quit going to have to sell everything off and cold close. If not, I'm not God does not start something to just let it fall apart. Amen God's purpose for this church God's got a purpose for each and everyone of you God's got a purpose a greater purpose to for me week. We can't even think of what God is doing for us, but I courage you to try cuz you'll get encouraged if you try to think on God more often. Amen. You see a couple months ago a dear sister in Christ from Detroit. She reached out to me, and I hadn't talked to her and it's been a couple years since I talked to Lisa, and I she called she actually messaged me on Facebook. She is mad at me. I need to I need to talk to you. I said Okay. God dad's man. Alright, here's my number, so she called me. She just started to pour into me. I'ma tell you this this lady is a precious woman of God. She's actually her and her husband are Bishop's in in Detroit. And she just paid she was mad at God. She said I was praying and God just dropped you write down into my heart. I've been she's he said pray for Apostle man and his wife in the church and she just started to pray over me and encourage me. She said but God gave me a word for you and I have to tell you that word. I said tell me dear sister see at that point in time. I was real low. Real low and I needed that that uplifting right I needed that and God brought it. God will bring stuff to you from places that you don't even think about that. You don't understand that you have no concept of they'll come out of the woodwork. And boom there. God is amen. But the word that God had for me through her was that she said Brian you think too much? And I went and you're right. She said God is saying your thoughts have betrayed you. She said you're thought you're thinking about next year. You're planning next year. You got to stop thinking so much and I went you're right. You're reading me like a book dear sister, man. She read me got course. That's the Holy Ghost right giving her words of wisdom words of knowledge. But as she was talking about I'm like going what are you talking about? What do you mean? I think too much and then she started to explain. Holy Spirit started to drop that down into my heart and I had to go. Yes, sir. You're right. I do and it's all because I'm afraid. oh a frayed of what can anybody tell me what a preacher an apostle like me could be afraid of

failure

failure I Fear God, I respect God. I don't want to fail right so that's what's that's what's been the the nag that was the hook that's used to get me to get all bound up wound up in my thinking and it was ugly folks.

Oh, that's right. That's right. But you know, she gave me one piece of scripture that actually the lord gave it to her for me. And this is the key scripture for today's message. And I want you to turn their Psalms 19 Captain 19 verse 14. If you would please turn there while I get a drink cuz I'm preaching myself dry.

It's okay that I'm a beer myself right not be frank and all that don't think anybody's name is Frank here, right? It's right. All right, let me know when you're there any men. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you Lord my rock and my redeemer. Did you see that may the words of my mouth and the thoughts are meditations of my heart be acceptable to you Lord. You see these two are the same the thoughts in our minds are the thoughts that are on our hearts and the words of our mouth go together a man and may they always be acceptable to you Lord know for going to be honest with ourselves today, and we need to be honest. We have to ask ourselves. Are the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart acceptable to you Lord. Only you can answer that I can't. I'm bearing my soul. Amen.

You see this all really ties back into what the Lord Jesus said and Matthew 12:34 where he said out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, right? What store up in our hearts and our minds are we learn emotions? It's going to come out our piehole right? It's going to come out of our actions going to choose. It's going to leak, right? What are we leaking? Are we linking the anointing of God or we leaking a negative attitude? Amen? Matthew 12:34, it's the last part of it.

If you're thinking positive thoughts. Positive attitude will come out. If you're thinking I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me you can do what God has called you to do you can go to work and you can do your job and you can do it. Well because you serve the Living God Amen.

You can be a positive influence in people's lives. You can be great. You can be you can be my Aaron and Hur and lift up my hands. Amen. Oh my gosh, or you can be thinking negative thoughts. The right will be called the ER spirit and you can be thinking that everybody's against to be. Nobody loves me. I might as well go eat worms, right? Guess what that's going to come out people are going to see it. Why because one is going to come out your mouth to your going to see it on your face. You going to see it in the body language? Yeah, it's going to come up. It's a it's a law. It's kind of like gravity. You know what I mean the c-diff if we're thinking I'm broke. I'm busted. I'm disgusted. Yes what it's going to come out. Right. It's going to come up the fact is that the truth in a person's heart what they believe their perspective on their negative or their positive thoughts will be revealed. You will see it. Now that doesn't mean that we judge them, but that doesn't mean that we kick him out. Give him the right foot of Fellowship all the time. We lift them up. We pray for them we come up and we'll see brother sister. I see you're struggling is everything. Okay. Can I pray for you or do you just need a hug right? It's all cool, right?

You see because how we think in our minds in our hearts is comes up how we feel thinking and feeling are all tied together and how we feel will be spoken and even it even that just speaking the words it affects our external lives. It affects so much in our lives. Are you are you picking up what I'm putting down this morning? So you might be saying okay, what do we do about it? If you would come with me to Proverbs 4:23.

we have to be careful what we let in.

We have to be careful. We need holy blinders. We need holy earmuffs the times. Hey, man, are you there? guard your heart Above All Else Why for the source for his a source of Life guard your heart above all else? You see him the Hebrew the word for heart literal or skews me to guard literally means to watch over. To watch over something you have to pay attention. You have to be engaged. You have to watch over what you're allowing to come into your heart come into your mind your will your emotions? Amen? No, it does not mean that we build up a wall and we come into some self protection mode where it's us for no more, right? That's not what it's saying. It's saying that we have to we have to protect what we allow in so when somebody speaks and negative word, you can say I rebuke that I am not a fool. And we can love you but rebuke the word, right? Yes, what does God say about me that's taking the authority. Amen. You see what we allow in. Affects our lives it becomes a cancer or it can become a blessing. You with me today?

So we have to be careful what what thoughts that we entertain.

Some people entertained thoughts that they would be ashamed if they knew God our was knew that they were thinking. Amen. God knows yeah. So the only thing that we really need to be taking in. Yes, we love everybody I want to stress this. We love everybody but that doesn't mean we allow everybody to dump their garbage in ass, right? Okay. The only thing that we really need to be taking in is the word of Truth The Voice of Truth. We just sang it The Voice of Truth the word of Truth. The word of God is life. The word of God is power. The word of God is truth. The word of God is peace. Amen. Are you picking it up, man? I just pulled up on the anointing, please.

More than enough you are blessed and not cursed you are an overcomer not an Undertaker, right? You are blessed coming in and blessed going out everything your hand touches good turnout to gold in the name of Jesus even so when it starts to happen, make sure your ties. Okay, and I'm just just saying just saying.

So let's be careful. What we we will We allow into our hearts not let me show you some practical examples of of what I'm talking about today specifically our thoughts can and will betray Us in life about how we think and actor interact with ourselves and with others. Right, that's where it all starts how we think about ourselves. And then how we think about others for instance say you've been praying for a brand new job?

brand new job You got God. I need your being specific bad. You're like I need this month month munching an hour or this much a year. I need a salad, you know this kind of salary. I need the insurance. I need 401K. I need that you're you're being specific and you're thanking God for it. And then all of a sudden everybody say all of a sudden. The phone rings and it's a manager a hiring manager for a new job. You been praying for that job? We see you got a problem. You've got this thought way back in the head and it says all you're not good enough for that job. You're not qualified. You don't have the education that you think you should have. So you're not qualified so you don't you don't look right. You're too many tattoos, whatever, you know, all that crap and then all of a sudden you're either you either not respond to the job offer. Or you delay in responding and you just may miss out on God's blessing why cuz you thought life. You should have said a boy bless the Lord. Oh my soul and all that is within me. I thank you God for this opportunity. I praise you for it. And I declare that I can do this job and you've already equipped me. So I'm stepping up to the plate and then come on. That's the right way of taking it. Yes positive. How about this?

Maybe you're single. You been praying for? Praying for a mate even praying for that husband or that wife.

And your you gone through the list, you know, she's got to be, you know, so high blonde hair, you know all the site and all that stuff. I'm telling you be specific with God if you're praying for me and then I don't know anybody in here though, maybe so be specific and what you're praising God for but then we meet that person.

Exactly. Don't be too quick to rush to the altar. Could you get a preacher like me and go? Oh, you've only known each other for a month.

Please go spend some time together get to know each other. Right but many times people will go God. I'm thanking you for this. But here they are and I'm not good enough because back when I was a teenager I did this and I've had this failed marriage and and I did this and I did that and I'm no good and next thing, you know, it shows in your behavior. It shows in your body language and then all of a sudden that blessing that God had sent you is going

I don't know. You know what I'm saying today, and I'm being real, aren't I? Some people think so poorly about themselves because of past mistakes and failures that they feel like they're no good, even though they may be a born-again Christian and all that sent has been forgiven and washed away. There's still that solish thought in there that God has not redeemed and you're the one that's responsible to do it or did you pick that up? You're the one that's responsible to take authority of that that fought or those feelings again. I know I'm a Child of God like brother did he says I'm in Christ and all is well with me. I don't you say that. I'm in Christ and all is well with me. Amen. Hallelujah. Now, what about how we think of other people? Well, this is the big one. Oh, I'm going to stir the pot. I'm going to stir the pot this morning. Say somebody know like I said, we get a lot of new people that come in here and what are we do? We love them we welcome we hug'em we shake their hand. We don't shake their neck. We shake their hand and we love on them and we make them feel rough day at home. We make sure they have coffee or whatever else they need. Cuz this the love of God, it's practical expressions of God's love right, but

after short while

yeah, I heard that after short while it's stinkin Thinkin kicks in. And we start to critique. Hope you know what critiquing is. It's the judge yet to nitpick, but it's judgment, right? And it if it if it's not taken care of it it's not nipped in the bud. Guess what those new people whom we love we welcome we encourage we reach out to them all of a sudden they're like going this place is cold. I don't know why I don't know what I did. But it's cold. I feel unworthy and unwanted and guess what many of them leave why because of what we think. Let me ask you a question. Are we judge are we judge? There is only one judge. of all right the living and the dead are we supposed to love people? Yes. Are we supposed to be long suffering with people? Yes.

Are you picking up what I'm putting down now? Amen? You see how thinking can enter it. Maybe maybe you've got an issue at home. Maybe got an issue at home. It's like he's always doing that. She's always doing that. Stop it. Stop thinking those thoughts take authority over them and say you know what? You are a blessing from God and I love you with all my heart. You're a blessing to this entire family Med. That's how you do that. You've got to stop it. Here's another one tonight. This is where I think I'm going to stir the pot a little bit. More yeah, I've got it going and now I'm going to I'm going to make a tornado in the pot and then how about this? Picking up someone else's offense.

Let me explain. We're all tight here. Okay, We Are Family.

Somebody another brother or sister might be going through something. Maybe there's a little bit of an issue between two people within the church. Just we're just using this for example happens. We're all people, right? Okay. Somebody of third-party comes in and goes I don't like what they did to you. Joins in with their offense and now guess what they're building a fence.

Right and all of a sudden there's a maybe a group now that are mad at someone so because of what they did or didn't do or whatever right? You see that's why the Bible tells us if you have a if you have a problem. The two of you get together. Fix-It working out come up with a plan don't go out on Facebook. Don't don't create a you see what happens is when we pick up somebody else's offense. We buy into their side of the story. See, there's two sides to the story and then there's the truth, right which is a combination of both sides, right? So so when we not always I know but for in general, but what happens is we we build this fence with them and it's not ours to carry.

You have no fix no part in it. All you can do is pray. Did you know that's a sin?

Picking up a fence building a fence offense if you see we all should know by now and if you don't I'm going to say it anyway. Offense is the number one way. The enemy comes into your life comes into your thinking comes into the church. It comes into the work. It comes into the school. It comes into family. Offense it's an open door. And guess what is the enemy does comes in? And he mocks sings up and yeah use muck. I could use the other awkward, but I'm not going to start good for preachers to talk like that truck. Yes duck. Yeah are Irish and Scottish brothers and sisters use that word real good? Anyway, so let's not let's not buy into someone's offense. And make it our own that's all soulish. That's all up here in the thinking and it destroys it destroys your life it cause you to do things are the say things or the back out of stuff that you would other like. Otherwise never ever. Do it. Amen. Are you picking up what I'm saying today? Amen?

You see if we don't guard our hearts and our minds, but just let every thought in and then run wild will find fault with everybody. Everything. Nothing is good enough. We won't even we won't even think good about ourselves. list of causes this will cause us Church to not see the spark of Glory in someone's life. The spark of Glory God's glory in someone's life. It might be just a little spark. It might be a little flame. But if we're thinking negative thoughts about everybody you're going to miss it. You going to miss it?

the proverbs 10 11 Says the mouth of the righteous is a Fountain of Life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

Do I need to read that again? The mouth of the righteous is a Fountain of Life. but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence see the mouth of the words that come out of our mouths Christians. Born Again Covenant people that have a covenant relationship with God Almighty in Christ. Jesus should be a Fountain of Life that should be blowing with the spirit of God that should be anointed in always in season and out of season ready to give a reason for why we believe in Christ Jesus.

but if our heads are full of negativity and violence It's going to come out of our Lives going to come out of her mouth. It's going to show up as doubt and condemnation going to come out as judgment. It's going to come out as violence towards others even toward Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Amen. Are you really picking up what I'm saying today? I'm preaching to myself if anybody.

Also, our thoughts can betray us in our own spiritual growth and in our relationship with God.

That is heavy, isn't it? see many Christians They stifle their growth in Christ their growth is stifled. Why oh because it's just go to church. Once a week throw some money in the saddlebag. I'm good. It's more than that. It's more than that or hears of. Here's a big one over the years. I've had the privilege and I called a privilege. It's an honor to serve our Lord. I've LED people to Christ. Hi. You know my heart I love bikers. And my people I love them. I had some that have delayed coming to Christ the new the love of God. I knew God was working on them. I knew he was moving them, but they told me preacher. I've done too much wrong. God can't love me. I said no no, no, no.

one dear brother One percenter came to Christ and the thing that pushed him over the edge was if add off Hitler would have repented. God would have forgiven him. Really? Yes, really? So what was the what was the thing that that holds people back to think that I've done too much work that I've done too much evil. I've hurt people. What's the thing that keeps them coming to Christ right then and there? Right here right between the eyeballs between the ear lobes right? It's what goes on in their head. I'm no good baby. I'm going to hell it's going to be a part. No, it's not going to be a party the one party and I won't even be the devil cuz he's going to be moaning and groaning to at one point then amen. You see spots. That's what's hindered them to coming to Christ Jesus and all we continue the holy spirit continues to Lou and we keep pressing in on them and loving on them and showing them the love of God until they can come to the place of saying I need Jesus that we have the opportunity to introduce them and then I love introducing them to see it's these the fox of Life the thoughts of what they did at your man. We do this first thing I think we all do it men and women we take some pretty were me stuff about ourselves. We judge ourselves, even though as Christians just want you to hear me even as Born Again Christians, we judge ourselves based off of what God has already forgiven us for a man. They're still there. We need to say God redeem my mind him and that's what that scripture says all my soul by will my my my my will Emotions bless the Lord the man and all that is within me praise His. Holy name.

it many have believed Upon Jesus and struggle in their spiritual growth their relationship with God several different types of thoughts that hinder them. Hinder me. We're All in This Together folks thoughts like here's one. I don't understand the Bible. So I'm not going to read it. Well, it's not in 1/8 and 8 thing. Exactly Thank You Tasha. You got to read it and understand and guess what? Guess what guess what out of the mouths of babes, right? Guess what? It's the holy spirit's job to teach you. That's what the Holy Ghost does. So as you read that you oh Lord. I'm reading it cuz it's my preacher said I need to read it. And this is your love letter to me. So I'm going to start reading it and I ask you Holy Spirit to Enlighten and quick and me to understand this. You see I read the Bible everyday all year round through all in one year and then I do it all over again and I'm telling you and every year. I know I get it because way back here and says this way up here it says that at all it's all of a sudden starts to come together and now things are making sense. Why because I'm reading that's why I encourage everybody be a student of the word of God be faithful to read and study the word of God and get intimate with him pray and say God, I need to understand your thinking teach me your word. God said he will you just have to read it take start with if you're not reading start with a little bit start with a verse if that's all you can take but make a holy discipline to read the word everyday and then push yourself like doing push-ups. You start a bug and do 10, right and next week. I'm going to try I'm going to try 15, right if I went to 23. I'm saying you got a precious discipline. Are you getting what I'm saying today?

Here's the other one. Here's the other one that hinders spiritual growth. I wish I could be like I wish I could be like a possible B man. I wish I could be like John bevere. I wish I could be like, you know Kenneth Copeland don't do that. You're not us and we're not you the point is if you want what we got it it's a good goal because I've got people who minister to me that I look up to and they tell me this is what I do everyday. Okay, if that's what you're doing and I want what you got I'm going to do what you do a man cuz they're an example. I don't I don't worship them. They're my brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen.

See these these defeating thoughts can cause us to assume. Defeating thoughts cause us to assume you know, what happens when we assume right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, but these assumptions can be made made which create greater and greater strongholds of failure and weakness in our lives go to stronghold is Stronghold is in the mind. It's in the soul. And it's that thought that I'm too stupid. Or I just don't get it or I'm too bad or I've done too much wrong, or I'm ugly. Yeah, exactly. Those are strongholds. Yes, it's bondage and breakable. Thank you, Nancy. Thank you. So do you can you start to see now how your thoughts have and do betrayed betray you can you see how in your own life? You're gone. Oh, yeah, he's got me. It's not me. It's the Holy Ghost. He's wanting to deal with this. Amen. It all comes down to what we're thinking about what we were meditating on. Looking at things from in our lives or it in our church or whatever that are bound and lies and they're they're building built assumptions that they will hinder us physically and spiritually they will hinder us the one thing that we should never take as an assumption is God's love we should never assume that well, maybe God's word is true. No, it is true. It is life. It is power.

Oh my gosh. I'm in the line. Yes. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you you're getting it. Now you might be thinking. How do I overcome these bad thoughts. I have bad thoughts all the time. I close my eyes and my mind automatically goes to bad stinking thinking. in a nutshell think about what the word of God says. The thought says oh, you're not good enough. No, no, no. No the word of God says that I'm a Child of God that all my sins are washed away. I am blessed. I'm not a curse. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Amen. In fact, I want you to say this me William. I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me. I am a child of God. I hear his voice and I understand his word. Hey man, give the Lord of praise.

It's because that right there right there is declaring and decreeing over your life that right. There is declaring with the word of God says over your life. You ain't there. You took ownership. And you said I can I am a child of God a man and I do understand his word praise God. Are we create? How do we create a habit of a holy discipline of positive thinking? V force ourselves It is a force you ever tried to change a thought it takes some Force, doesn't it? I hope you've tried now you're getting some tools today men. It takes practice it takes diligence but 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 says take every thought captive take every thought captive. So we don't we don't waste mental processing power on stinking thinking which that scripture 2nd Corinthians 10 verse 5

take every thought captive and then we're going to do with it for sitting to The Obedience of Christ. What does God's word say That's what that says. Take that thought. That's not God right force it smack it Down Right. Smack it down if it's not Godsmack it down. That's taking authority over stinkin Thinkin. Yes, brother, Denny. Many times you out would know it. Sometimes it might be a every five minute and then it'll go to 10 and then it'll go to half an hour and then it'll go to everyday and let you go. Okay, I got this one. Whatever is commendable if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise dwell on these things that means to think on these things to meditate on these things. So here's the criteria up our thought life if it's if what is it now if it's true honorable pure lovely commendable moral excellence.

Take a note and if it doesn't line up with that criteria throw it away. It's garbage. It sits empty cans. It's dirty diapers, right? Are you getting me today? Okay. Can you see how you how your thinking of yourself May betray you and how you think about yourself can bless you?

Oh. So whose choice is it is it God's fault that we have bad thought life know it's ours. Yeah, but that was going to add to it. Yeah, the devil's going to throw all kinds of crap in there. But guess what if your filling your head in Your Heart full of the word of God and you're worshipping God in your praising God in your and you're spending time in his presence. There is no room for Junk. Amen for Junk. Can you see how you think about family can prevent you from living a full and blessed happy life. Go to somebody pick that up. Please pick that up. Can you see how you think about other people can cause you to pass judgement on people that you don't even really know you don't even know both sides. You don't know what they're dealing is. You don't know why they come in with a towel on their face who cares what they look like who cares what they smell like love on them. See the spark of Glory inside of them and maybe they don't have that spark of going because they don't know Jesus yet. But UPS, you introduced them a man. Wow, that's a good preaching.

See what I'm talking about here. Really? ties into what the Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter 6 specifically verse 17 Reese's take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is God's word. What does the helmet do? Protect your melon, right? I know I I love riding without a helmet. But yeah, it does but my spiritual helmet I try to put that stuff on my armor. Put it on everyday put it on everyday see that the helmet of salvation it protects our mind it protects our will and our emotions even are thinking and the sword of the spirit is the word of God actually both of them together the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit are the word of God. It protects our minds that protects how we think and how we feel. I'm also reminded of what loot what Jesus said in Luke chapter 6 verse 45

a good man produces good out of the good storeroom of his heart. An evil man produces evil out of the evil storeroom for his mouth speaks from the Overflow of his heart.

my point here is that Yeah, how we think affects whether we store up good or store up evil? And it will come out of our heart. It will come out of our mouths. It will come out of our body language. He will be shown if we have a bad attitude towards somebody giving them the snub y'all know the snub is right. I hate that. Christians are not do that to anybody. It is so disrespectful it is so ungodly and it says you're no good. Jerk. Right now I'm talking about am I just preaching to myself? amen

See over the last few years my thoughts and betrayed me.

I had I had become disconnected here at church for a while there. I was here I was disconnected.

cuz of my thought life Because of the hurts the pain the frustration of ministry, I dwelled on that instead of on what God Said. So I just want to take the opportunity to say that if during those times where you felt like I was disconnected. I probably was or if I was mean or said something that didn't strike you write, please forgive me. I'm a man to like Terry said pastor Terry. I'm a man too. And I'm going through the same thing. We all are going through this. Amen.

But I have overcome I have overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of my testimony and today you've heard my testimony. Amen. So I ask you to forgive me if I've crossed you, please forgive me. And then if I frustrated you, please forgive me and please know what I've been going through. And of course the enemy is right there with his big old trash can this will get him to quit. You know, I'm saying right this will get him to quit.

What we think on because what we think in our hearts will be thinking our minds is is who we are it becomes a paradigm for what we are for who we are so what are we thinking on? Sister Nancy life. Life. Amen. Amen with all that being said don't let negative thoughts ruin your life. Don't let negative thoughts ruin your family. Don't let the negative thoughts ruin your walk with Christ. He's right there. He loves you. He will never leave you he will never forsake you so the choice is ours.
