He said if you don't separate from those tents you're going to go down with them and no truer thing has been said we is the church have been dancing as close as we can to the world. Justice closest we can Just that we got one foot in the church. We go to church on Sunday. We know a few scriptures and everything, but we can still go watch that movie. We can still go participate in that joke. We can still be in that gospel nasty conversation at work. We can still cheat on our taxes and we can do the that line that line is going to go from being a line to being a wall in heaven and we got to find out which side of it we're going to be on and you don't decide that there you don't go OG I really messed that up storybook. God. I think I'm going to go over here. Now. This is the dressing room for eternity. What you where here is what you will wear in eternity. And we have a choice about what it is that we are going to wear. And it comes through repentance. repentance Holiness humility and honesty When we start walking in those things with God get ready for our lives to change. How many have come to church? Show me the y'all been coming to church for 20 30 40 50 years. And things are still the same. Like a lot of stuff is still the same. You're going to why isn't this changed? Why hasn't this gone and I you know, we is preachers teachers have tried to make up some fancy reasons as to why sends days and all that stuff, but fundamentally, it's a good question. Maybe it's because we haven't really come to church. We've come to a social Gathering we've come to church is become kind of like a routine. It's part of your week. I can make it if I'm busy I can in the church. And maybe what a lot of us are doing in the western church, which is trying to satisfy our cultural norms, which is Comfort speed. Perfection and nice. We really like nice. We really like nice Joel Osteen. And I have nothing but good things to say about Joel Osteen. He's a man of God and if he's got any errors in his theology than let God take care of that because heaven knows we got some problems in our theology. But he's got a pretty nice gospel. He's got the largest church in North America. I don't think it if you tell everybody and I'm not saying this is what it what he's actually saying but this is the way it gets melted down. Don't worry. Don't worry. It's going to be great. Great going to work out fine scrape don't have to all you have to do is just trust God and praise and singing No 10 scriptures and it's going to be great when actually God saying well, no, it's not going to be great because you've got unconfessed sin in your life. And the only way God can be in your life is if sin is out of your life. And the only way that happens is through repentance and the only way repentance happens is conviction and the only way conviction comes it. It just doesn't fall off from the sky. It comes from the preaching of the word and the word brings conviction and the conviction says I was something wrong and then God says yeah, there is full. What do I do? You repent you give it to God repentance is simply going this way and then don't know I'm going to start falling down on the floor and looking humble. It is an actual willful desire to say God. I want to change the way I am living.

And only you can say that. God can't say that for you. The strange thing is God of the universe who is going to come back in such power and such a thority and with such glory and with such power that it says the whole world will see it at the same time and they will fall on their knees.

And people say all that craziness. Well, go look at the the top 20 movies from the last 2 years and all of them. Most of them. The majority of them will have this very strange theme. The world coming to an end being dominated by some evil force and this loan good person coming and delivering the world Spider-Man Superman Aquaman Ant-Man Super Woman because it is 2018 and every other possible entity that could possibly save us for all of them. And I'm going I wonder why this theme resonates and they are the highest grossing films. In the history of fill the Star Wars series. Everyone knows Star Wars. It is the gospel. That's what you're seeing. You're seeing some evil force and then this very small struggling along good Force. Who works with this strange power the force? Who comes and eliminates the darkness? Well, I wonder where George Lucas got that.

Frodo Lord of the Rings got this little kid. Who is facing this mass of evil? Pain like this Carpenter kid in Israel who comes up against Satan who has by the way everybody who doesn't know Jesus are in Chains to Satan. He's just not tugging on them yet. They don't know. And this story is living out all around us. It's it's as if as the closer Jesus gets to coming back the very pores of the Earth are spitting out the story of what's coming. It's right there Paul actually at one point said two in one of his letters. He said even your own poets. Say that you cretins are lazy drunken, Slugger.

Have you been downtown on Saturday night? But yet he was saying that listen if you don't believe me, look at what your own poets are saying speaking prophetically about your condition. The world is screaming the message. It's screaming the message and why does it resonate because inside of you and inside of me is the DNA of God that says that's true.

Life and death are in us the DNA that you have been given has a little place just set for Jesus. And it's always looking for that. You know, you're your man or woman, right? And it says your come together as a man and a wife a man looks for a woman a woman looks for a man and there's is natural opposite of attracting. I'll give you a little information about that. This is beautiful and for the people really like to study Theology and Bissell drive you nuts in the Book of Genesis when God is describing when using the word man before Eve is formed that word man has male and female connotation to it that Adam was both male and female together right when God made Eve. The term that is used for man after that point means male alone. What God did and how we did it? I don't know how I did. I ain't God. I just trust him. I don't know how gravity works, but I you know, I get on a bike and drive it and he pulled out of Adam. That female part and put them like this and ever since they've been trying to get back together. We call it sexual tension. We call it marriage and then sometimes it go we don't want to be But what do they do? They go try to find somebody else. Because it is not coming together that's trying to happen your spiritual DNA will constantly draw you to something that looks like sounds like seems like Christ. But we need to pray that God gives us the real thing in 1979. I bumped into somebody who told me God loves me told me that Jesus had forgiven. My sin told me that he had the life for me that I wasn't supposed to live and I knew the life I was living wasn't the one I was supposed to live. and I said, yes and all the sudden that DNA when

and everything changed everything changed. Sperm meets an egg.

Everything Changes, there's something new and God wants to make a new person out of you. I don't care if you've been in the Lord 60 years when married to me doesn't matter to God God wants to make you into the fullness of what he worth you to be.

so I take a few minutes here. Cuz God said come out from amongst them. What is it in your life that God is saying come up from amongst?

Could be anything. I don't know. All I know is that God just said say come out from amongst and that's all he said to me this week come out from amongst them. And God is calling his church out from amongst the world because that is going down and if we've got one foot in it, we're going down with it. Work on it. Was that look like was that mean what that means when things get tough when the economy bottom sewed all the economy couldn't bought a moute 2008 ladies and gentlemen, the whole world on the precipice of complete economic meltdown Iceland lost. Its whole banking system your United States gone. I lost forty six forty 50% of my Pension funds in one day gone. God will take care of me. I don't say that glibly but I'm not going to trust and Pension funds but when the whole system goes down when the rule of law. Is gone. Have you been to the United States lately? Have you seen the person that's leading that country and the Anarchy that he is releasing on that country. The racial war that he is releasing again on country and spreading to Europe and spreading down into South America one, man.

The rule of law is breaking down. The rules of Economics are breaking down. The environmental access the world that we have created the massive massive level of garbage and pollution and disregard that we in our leisure. Have put upon the Earth. It's all coming down and the Earth is shaking. It's happening and if we got our trust.

So God is saying get in the camp. Get in the boat Noah get in the boat.

The rain that never rained they didn't even know what rain was by that time they're going to vote for because something's coming. The church is the boat. And we're calling people laying in their same way of talking, but everything's fine. Have you been to Costco? Did you go to Costco yesterday? Walton, I battled our way through and we got our sink and got out of there with basically Our Lives intact. And pretty good deal on the sink, but none the less everyone seems to think it's fine. I don't see a lot of worried faces except when they see the line at the checkout then everything gets pretty sad, but otherwise than that that's about as upset as the world is

If you interrupt with your convenience, or how long we have to wait for something then they get upset. We are the boat and today you're in it. You were in it and you're in it, you're here today for a reason you're not here just because you decide to come to church you're here because God Almighty shook you woke you up and said I think this is where you're going today because I want you to hear something. I don't believe in coincidences. I don't believe in them God the controller of the universe. No, this is a Divine appointment right now. Just think Then we're going to pray for some healing but just think. About what it is that God's asking you to separate yourself from a behavior and attitude and influence a person. a group I music Whatever. It is a television program. Because God doesn't want you to go down with it. This is not about condemnation. This is about restoration. This is about God saying let that go and I'll come in and fill you. with addictions addictions people with it. We all have some form of addiction. We all do a lot of it is to ourselves for addicted to our self our pleasure our Beauty our possessions. our opinions of narcissism And maybe that's part of it, but father whatever you were saying today Holy Spirit right now. I asked if you would bring that the truth bring it to mind and all of us. None of us. None of us are perfect. But father you are saying I want you to get even closer in the boat. I want you to go to the very Temple. I want you to come close around my heart. I want you to come around me and I will give you the life that all these other things have been trying to steal from you.

Is that picture comes to your mind? to stand up We're not going to make a big show, but just stand up is As you know God is pointing something out.

So father you hear this you see your people standing you see father God this call to you. Father I see people standing up saying come Jesus. That's what I see. I see people saying More Jesus. I see people standing and sing. Take it Lord. I choose you over it. I choose you over this desire influence habit compulsion sin father God. And right now I by faith release you Holy Spirit by faith upon these people feel them from the top of their head right down to the bottom of their feet as they say forgive me Lord for my participation for my agreements from my willingness to be a part of these things. I do it to your father and I just released the fire of God right now to burn that thing up to burn it up and cause it to be gone from their life. I set the captives free today in Jesus name. I release you from addictions. I release you from hurts from the past. I release you from the bondage of opinion is an attitude judgments Hershey's father God. We just released today, but the chains fall off let the lock be opened let these people be free today in Jesus name father God we ask you come and do that right now father. right now Lord God

And now father as they have stood and done this and obedience. I just pray a blessing over them that father God when they leave this place today. They are going to leave with a power and authority over these things. They will leave with a new freedom and you peace in their heart and in their lives and father God you will just walk beside them in that new closeness father God. Is he leave this place today in Jesus name? And father, I also pray for those who need to accept you today for the first time. That they have never had the opportunity to really accept you as their lord and savior. That they know sitting here today. That their heart is not following you and you are speaking to them in love and saying come to me my child.

The Lord is, so that none should perish but that all should be saved. For those that are here for the first time and maybe having the first experience with Christ this morning. I just pray father God that they would in their heart right now. Say come be the Lord Of My Life Jesus. I give you all of my Brokenness. I give you all of my sin. I thank you for your forgiveness. And I desire and wish to follow you.

And this is one of those times where you can be really confident of that and you can lay hands on somebody and you can ask Jesus quite simply. No sermons just asked Jesus say Jesus healed his person. So as I pray if those around Pat and round Ronda and Judy and Judy and our sister right here Roseanne will do that. If you have a problem being taught that's okay. Just tell us not to touch some people. We understand that pass and it stopped being touched. Father right now. We just come to you. Knowing that father God you were in this place and that you love us and it is your desire that all your children father. God would have the fullness of your healing of your grace and presents father in Jesus name heal these hips right now in Jesus name father God. in Jesus name at your mercy flow father God

You might feel something you right now. It might be something that comes through the day. It might be something that comes through the week, but you just know that God is touched and something is going on. And that's not some cocci hypnotism thing that's you know, this is believing that God wants to touch us and heal us and he knows when to do it to us. He knows how to do it to us and he knows when to do it to us, right? That woman who is walking for 18 years bent over and Jesus healed her and the Pharisees got all upset. And he said this woman who has been bent over for 18 years at today. God has set her free and you know, honestly the cynic in me says

but God showed up. God showed up

relational healing

need healing in relationship in relationship.

Could be a broken family relationship.

Could be a broken deep personal relationship.

2 things I should be able to pray. Father first I want to pray for those who are in. the wrong relationship

that father the chain will be cut.

And that father they would be set free from wrong relationships. That just came to me. It's a picture. I I don't totally know what that means. But if somebody's here and they are in a wrong relationship whether it's a friendship romantic relationship, whatever it is. Father we just break that chain right now in Jesus name and rerelease father God these people into hearing your voice and having the right relationships with you first father. And Lord, I pray for those who are standing today who have brought this broken relationship to you father. They came to you to be healed and that's what we're doing today. They came and they brought all kinds of issues and we bring this one to you and I pray right now in Jesus name for the healing in the putting back together a family's the putting back together of intimate relationship. There's people in relationship, but they don't have intimacy. And I pray for a return to intimacy. There's almost like a block is between the two spouses that something is blocking it and father. I just remove that right now in Jesus name and a return to Intimacy in relationship emotional intimacy father God. Father we pray that you would put children back with parents parents back with children. that father God mothers and fathers Would once again be joined to their children sisters with Brothers father God that Lord you would heal this or something going on in this that you would heal this pain cause these relationships to come back so that father God there is love where there was hate and mistrust and and anger father. So we just lift those things off those relationships and we call them back into Purity into fullness and into a tender anus father God. In Jesus name. Amen. Amen. Amen.

God is good.

And we're just about finished here. But you know, it's funny.

I don't know what God's going to do with us. I really don't I don't know where we're going as a church. He doesn't I don't really much I'm not worried about it. This is the first time in probably 20 years at least that I've got off in front of the congregation without a sermon. And God said he always said no, no, no, don't you put a and I'll go to my thing. I try to put it together and let her think I need to know now and I had one all put together. Isn't what you going to do with that.

Possible just in case he said just in case what? He said I'll be the sermon.

I don't know what's going on in other churches and I don't it's not my concern, but I know what's going to go on in this one. And we are going to let Jesus be the Lord of his church and we are going to let the Holy Spirit into this place and whatever way shape or form. He desires to manifest and so go knowing that. The boat is floating. It's floating and God's got wonderful things ahead speaking of wonderful things ahead in May It May June June there is going to be something I want to say something about this before it goes. There is a men's version of this which is a gathering. It's called a Band of Brothers. I've been to it and Ron has been to it. George's been to it. Some other people have gone to it and is quite simply and I've been in a lot of conference Gigi Gigi things on the weekends, you know, I've been to a lot of those over the years. And I don't say that it reverently. I just save some of them you walk away and go. Wow. I don't know why I went to that this. Band of Brothers concept is quite simply. The most effective thing I have seen to take you from zero to a hundred in intimacy with God. And over two days two and a half days. And it's a three-day thing and you go and you stay at the the place. It's down in sambro. Nice digs. It's it's it's nice by Lake. It's really nice and I just can't say enough about this.
