Mary Finds Out from and Angel she is Pregnant

What did Mary know?

Luke 1:38 NLT

Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her.

Luke 1:47–56 NLT

How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me. He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him. His mighty arm has done tremendous things! He has scattered the proud and haughty ones. He has brought down princes from their thrones and exalted the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with empty hands. He has helped his servant Israel and remembered to be merciful. For he made this promise to our ancestors, to Abraham and his children forever.” Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and then went back to her own home.

Mary Knew the Angel Was Right and She Embraced Her Place

Can you imagine what Mary was going to have to explain to her family?

Mary was engaged and had never had been intimate with Joseph. The only conclusion that Joseph could accept was that Mary had slept with another man.

When Mary embraced that she was going to carry Jesus she accepted the pain that was going to come.

Mary knew following the call of God was not about comfort, but it was about the Kingdom of God.

Mary said that she was blessed to be carrying the Baby Jesus!

Mary Knew Jesus was Going to be the Savior of the World

Mary knew Jesus was the hope that the hungry needed, Mary knew Jesus was the savior for the sick, Mary knew that Jesus was a King that would overthrow any earthly Kingdom that has come against the Kingdom of God!

The child that Mary carried would the one who set us all free.

Mary Knew She Needed to be Willing to Carry a Miracle

Mary embraced the call, she embraced the miraculous, she believed in God!

What is the miracle that God has stored up inside of you. What miracle is it that God is asking you to carry and birth on this earth?

Can we be like Mary and believe?

Mary was a person just like you and I, except she believed. She never doubted Gods ability, she embraced it.
