Exclusive Truth Claims of Jesus
Exclusive Truth Claims of Jesus
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
If the Bible is really making claims about the truth, then Jesus’ exclusivity should be affirmed.
It also follows that the Christian faith is exclusive by nature.

The idea is that people, outside of the Christian faith can respond to what ever extent of revelation (General or special) they have. God then judges the disposition of their heart.

Against the Inclusivist view:
How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”
Gospel Exclusivity- Salvation only comes through appropriate response to the Gospel of Jesus Christ; belief, confession and repentance are required.
