We’re so smart

Luke 2:1–2 HCSB
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole empire should be registered. This first registration took place while Quirinius was governing Syria.

No Opting Out

Luke 2:2–3 HCSB
This first registration took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So everyone went to be registered, each to his own town.

A Daily Reminder

Luke 2:4–5 HCSB
And Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family line of David, to be registered along with Mary, who was engaged to him and was pregnant.
Nazareth was not a big town.
The storm before the peace doesn’t care what your name is!
Joseph and Mary had the constant reminder that their life was going to change.

True peace remains regardless of the storm.

Isaiah 26:3 HCSB
You will keep the mind that is dependent on You in perfect peace, for it is trusting in You.

This Weeks Challenge

STOP! It’s simple really. This week when the world begins to crowd in STOP, when the cares of the world begin to push at you, STOP, when you are tempted to try and fix things that only God can fix. STOP and keep front and center in your mind the fact that you are a whosoever, that God loved you enough to send the Prince of Peace just for you, that He will stand with you through all that is brought your way and he will see you through it.
